Lovely place, friendly service, yummy food (lots of gluten and lactose free options) and an excellent tea collection. Can certainly recommend the (gluten and lactose free)high tea experience (must book in advance).

A hand-stiched little tearoom, offers good range of food. No wifi. Long wait for coffee and grilled (they call it roasted) cheese sandwich.

Cannot fault service, food or atmosphere. Absolutely loved the tea pots and cups - lots of nice touches including cutlery.
If you just crave good things then visit here - even the member of staff on day two of her employment was a Star.??????????

Best to book as it is very popular with tourists and regulars. Lovely little tea rooms with good home made food on the menu also dog friendly which was a bonus for us

We discovered this lovely tearoom by chance while visiting the nearby Cathedral and we simply loved it and come back the next day for breakfast.
Freshly baked cakes and delicious pancakes! A place to go if you're in the area.

We went in for lunch at a busy period, got a table pretty quickly, the staff are really friendly and helpful and took out order promptly.
The tea was really nice and refreshing, we were asked if we wanted more hot water for the tea.
The food was well presented and the soup was really tasty and toastie that accompanied it was delicious.
We also had scones and jam, with little dishes of jam, not those we wasteful jars.
The toilets were fresh and clean.
All in all, a really nice comfortable place with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff to stop off for refreshments, if you are in the area do give it a try

Tasty enough, but not cheap
There were some interesting options on the menu here, but portions were small for the price paid.
Fentimans lemonade, 7/10, just a bottle of nice pop and a glass, not much else to it.
Bacon and banana toastie + soup, 6/10, the novelty of flavour combo didn't really pay off and my mate who ordered this said he probably wouldn't get it again. Texture of the bacon made it hard to eat proper mouthfuls as the bacon came out all on one go - would have been better with crispy bacon.
Ham and cheese toastie, 6/10, not bad as toasties go, but there wasn't really much else to it.
Overall felt this tea room was charging a bit too much for a bit too little. Nothing special flavour wise, little more than assembled ingredients.

Lovely food with really lovely service. We had a late breakfast then some delicious homemade cake to celebrate a birthday. It's a great place.

Sorted a table for us despite not booking and being busy. Food was lovely and the coffee excellent. The chocolate fudge cake is a must. Staff were very efficient and friendly.

Nice little tea room, nicely situated, quite pricey, but I suppose it's a tourist hotspot, had a cappuccino & it was nice.
