“Didn't stay, so cannot comment on rooms. My review is about the restaurant.Had an excellent meal at the 1902 Grill. Staff were attentive and friendly, absolutely no problem taking the dog as they have tables set aside for those of us with a canine companion and no issue getting water for the dog (and even a treat). Starters were lovely, fish and chips spot on, my medium rare steak was cooked perfectly with a beautiful pink peppercorn sauce. Prices were reasonable and food is the correct level for the hotel, far above pub food, but also doesn't try to be pretentious. Portion sizes were generous, and the proper chips done just right. Didn't have dessert as was stuffed but going by the mains, would expect them to be just as top notch.Restaurant chairs are comfortable and the room size is small enough to be atmospheric but not so small as to feel crowded. Also had a quick look at the bar/lounge area which looked very welcoming and will definitely be back to try out this area.I'd say a bit of a hidden gem for the area and well worth a visit. Well done to the owner and staff, an absolutely pleasant lunch was had.”

“Cute and cozy B&B. Great breakfast! The staff here are very friendly. The room was a bit outdated - all carpeted and cramped bathroom. The ventilation wasn't very good either. Good location near the train station. If you plan on staying here to visit Edinburgh, note that trains can get cancelled and don't run late, so you may need to pay a lot for a taxi.”

“Lovely hotel. Room comfortable. Breakfast and service very good. I personally thought bar prices a bit expensive but it wouldn't prevent me returning.Walkability: Beautiful coastal walks. Mainly flat but there are some uphill parts.”

“A brilliant meal to end a brilliant day, great service, seated by one of the male staff, then mostly served & looked after by Hannah, who was really easy going & gave us time, also was able to have a laugh with us. Quick service which is always appreciated, nothing was too much hassle.”
