A deceptive little hotel. Doesn't look anything to write home about on the outside, but the food was fantastic, the room I was in looked recently refurbished with a modern bathroom and walk in shower etc, and all the staff members I spoke with were welcoming and engaging.

Visited the restaurant with family after a day out in Dunbar. Really neat layout, relaxing and quiet atmosphere. Great food.
However, would be good to have a salad as a main dish so there was a wider choice for vegans

My friend and I stayed two nights at the beginning of August. Everyone in the place, from reception to restaurant to bar, even other patrons, did their best to make our stay as perfect as it could be and they did it with the sense of humour that makes places truly memorable. Thanks to all in the Dunmuir, for joking around with us, the recommendations in town, putting up with the endless questions, giving us cheese as a starter, and in general making it feel very much like a posh version of home. It was the best ending to our trip we could have asked for; wishing ya'll much success and thank you for everything!

First time but definitely won?t be our last, on arrival we were welcomed by a lovely lady called Lesley, we were shown to our table, the dining room is lovely and has a cozy feel,& spotlessly clean,
The food was absolutely amazing, fresh and beautifully presented, the staff were very attentive,
You are allowed to take dogs in as well, now I?ve been to places before that allow dogs and there is always a smell of dog, but you wouldn?t know with this place,

We were only there for our Sunday dinner. It was excellent as usual.

Lovely location not far from rail station and on central road, a nice short walk away from the harbour.
Breakfast included hot and cold options which you could pick as many as you liked of for yourself! I would recommend the porridge as it was the best I?d ever tasted but also enjoyed eggs, sausage, mushroom, etc.

Great, clean. Grand hotel style. Restaurant at its finest. One of the most expensive hotels on our tour but worth every cent. There are better rooms in the house, but we were happy to get one. Parking was included!

My friend and I went for a cocktail night. Simon who is the mixologist and trained at Harvey Nicolls in Edinburgh is amazing. All the cocktails are made with fresh ingredients and taste absolutely fantastic. I have been to cocktail bars before and theu opened a ready made up bag, popped the contents I to the shaker and added ice!!. It was a brilliant night at the Dunmuir and we met loads of interesting people and a big Hello to John and hos dog Jimmy ? ?. Will definitely be back soon and would advise anyone looking for a hand made cocktail to ho to the Dunmuir. They are the best in Dunbar in my opinion. Well done Simon for your crafy and knowledge in making up lovely cocktail recipes and for your customer services and helpful advice when choosing our cocktails. We'll done Dunmuir for a fantastic night out and your excellent staff.
Nearby activities: Dunbar has amazing coast line, harbour and loads of amenities. GreT pubs, restaurants and the Dunmuir is beautiful
Food and drinks: Excellent menu, great chef and truly accommodating staff who ate very friendly and very helpful.

Great wee hotel for a quick overnight stop. Food, room and service great although cost of food (breakfast and evening) were a little on the high side.

Rooms: Only small sticker on bathroom mirror to alert guests that the tap water shouldn't be drunk. No other notification and easily missed. Also, no alternative drinking water was provided.
