We were on route to Baron Tweed, but the traffic was horrendous, and we saw a sign on the road for the Dunbar Garden Centre and Restaurant, so obviously we took any opportunity to have a relaxing break. We had some tea, and cake. I had the Earl grey fruit cake and my wife had the Custard cream shortbread, and everything tasted really delicious. The place is airy and bright and have a really nice.

Fab range of great looking plants at the moment. We went specifically for euonymus alatus compactus (burning bush) looks amazing, you would walk past it in summer but when autumn colour comes on it's stunning. I'm now realising you need to go and look round plants for sale at the different seasons so you can get all round interest/colour in the garden. We had lunch in Restaurant, lovely fish and chips and macaroni cheese and chips. Quite a queue as it is very popular but efficient service and food was out quickly. My mum also bought a specialist rum as a gift for my dad. Something for everyone! Great also for parking.

Seems to adopt a high quality approach to everything it sells. I would recommend the café, and it has a lovely selection of cakes. The plant section is mostly under cover and all look very healthy.

We bought a set of garden furniture recently from Dunbar Garden Centre. We couldn't find this anywhere else in Scotland, and managed to track it down there. Sarah Noton, Shopfloor Supervisor, and her team could not have been more helpful in holding it for us for a couple of days to allow us to get to see it, and then again to allow us to transport it to Glasgow. Sarah also resolved an issue in getting hold of the correct cover. Top marks to all the team.
Nice cafe too, with excellent scones - made the journey even more worthwhile!
