Terrible terrible terrible , never again
Rooms: We stayed 3 nights had no heating all time we stayed here, although heating was hot in hall but not rooms , eventualy had one day hot water ,room was never serviced by housekeeping all the tiime we were here , i complained to expedia who i booked through & they said they could not get a response from owner all time we stayed,never again will we stay here ,id give it no stars if i could and there is no reception and when you call owner takes time for him to call you back & he said he would see us later about the problems but only time we saw owner was when we arrived

Was just there downstairs for a drink with friends. Good atmosphere, jukebox & the bar staff are really nice.
Walkability: A 10 minute walk from the town centre
Food & drinks: Food & drinks downstairs in the bar are good

If I could rate this a zero I would. Worst experience of my life. When I arrived no heating and no running hot water. Owner told me it would be fixed. 3 hours later mid winter still no heating. Owner refused to give me any form of heating & when asked how I was meant to wash hands after toilet owner laughed at me. Didn?t fancy catching hypothermia so asked owner for refund at which point he refused and became so aggressive and confrontational that as an older woman I felt unsafe and frightened so had no option but to leave. DO NOT STAY HERE

Don't think I could recommend much less. Absolute dump of a place with rude and confrontational staff. Certainly won't be back, only giving a one star as I can't give zero.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! rooms were filthy with bed bugs. Host was always asking where we were. Didnt even stay there felt so unsafe. A park bench is cleaner and safer.

DO NOT book this hotel! I give it a zero rating. Dirty bed sheets & mattress - hair & dirt. Filthy bathroom with hair from previous guest in shower & sink & used shampoo bottle in shower not removed. Musty/mouldy smell throughout hotel. Water damage in ceiling & paint peeling. Expedia should not even list this hotel.
Booked hotel for two nights & luckily there was a B&B that had a cancelation, which we stayed at instead. Asked for a refund next day through Expedia, but owner refused. Did not stay in Waverley Hotel but forgot shoes in hotel.
Went to retrieve shoes next day & owner held us hostage in hotel room demanding his key back even though he did not refund our money. Owner blocked hotel door with his body & when my sister & I tried to open door, owner pulled it shut & didn't allow us to leave. Was very scary for two Senior women!
Finally got hold of Expedia in hotel room & owner let us leave, plus Expedia gave us a refund for one night only.
DO NOT stay here - even if no where else to book!

Do not go. Damp on the walls. Broken TV, bugs in my room, shared bathroom very unclean, used bedsheets full of hair. Absolutely disgusting.

The house owner was very nice and polite but this hotel was an absolute disaster, the beds are as old as the hotel and for £70 you have no breakfast and one shower per floor which was dirty and just plain disgusting.
The room was just disgusting, the beds had stains on them and the doors look like they were demolished.
I will never go to this hotel again, I prefer to sleep in the parking lot.
