Good for a base to visit the south of Scotland, nearby natural features, walking/cycling, trips to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Quiet, very clean, well furnished rooms. Highly recommend.

Just been to Ryan's Bar and Restaurant in The Townhouse. Lovely addition to the eateries in Dumfries. Great food, lovely service. Would definitely recommend and will be returning in the near future.
