Nice food in sensible portions. A bit of a wait for order to be served, which staff were up front about, but guess that was down to the sheer number of covers. Recommended.

This was an amazing recomendation by our B&B host. The service was really good, there attention to detail fantastic and the food... well the food was simply outstanding. The Swan - Kingholm Quay, by the River Nith, with great parking & easy access, open 5 days a week - Wednesday to Sunday. Serving home made good quality home comforts & pub classics in a great atmosphere & comfortable restaurant.
With the best beer garden in Dumfries, The Swan is ideal for families. We have a fully stocked bar including real ale & a fantastic selection of wines, spirits, & soft drinks all at reasonable prices.
There are lots of special offers as standard on our menu, for example a lunch bundle which is homemade soup & sandwich followed by a freshly ground tea, coffee & traybake.
Kids eat main courses for £2.50 Wednesday to Friday lunch & until 6.30pm when dining with a full paying adult eating off the a la carte menu.
