The best range of quality selected new, interesting and rare books, comics, maps, video games, CD's, records and DVD's to be found in Dumfries.Perfect for gifting or for yourself! Also the best charity shop for donating to locally.Oxfam fundraise for many worthy international appeals and you can be sure any books, records etc. donated will be sold for as much as possible, rather than being sold for next to nothing as is the case with other overloaded "cheap as chips" charity shops. The only other big chain of charity shops who have nearly as much retailing savvy unfortunately fund unethical, repugnant (and medically unsound) animal experiment research labs (subjects include dogs as well as rabbits, goats etc).

Great place for a quality bargain book. Well organised, with all books nicely displayed, including a vintage & collectors section. Also a small stock of cd's/records and sheet music. Sadly, due to staff shortages, opening times can be a little erratic, so check before visiting.

Good selection of books but can be quite pricey. Most other charity shops do 3 books for 1 pound but here does over 2 pounds a book.

Excellent second hand bookstore. Well organised. Get most of my books there. Has a good turnover of titles as well.
