Arrivived due to experiancing a blown out tyre. I was shaking up and didnt know what to do. Untill sean came along and saved the day. He had taking my wheel done and insepection and fitted a new tyre and assured me everything was going to be ok. Fantastic service. And thanks to sean i was leaving with a big smile on my face. I?ve used Kwik Fit many times without issue, but my first visit to this branch was disappointing.
I booked in for an MOT and was told the car failed under 1.2.1(e) for ?offside rear brake fluctuation.? The technician handed me a printout from their brake testing machine, which clearly showed the car had passed ? including acceptable fluctuation on the offside rear wheel. Despite that, he overruled the result based on visual observation and said, ?In my experience, a wobbling needle usually means a warped disc.?
I was then quoted £340 to replace the rear discs and pads. That seemed excessive and unjustified given the machine had recorded a pass
The next morning, I took the car to an independent MOT centre ? with no repairs carried out. It passed, and the same brake issue was listed only as an advisory.
Kwik Fit?s website refers to a ?zero-tolerance policy towards recommending unnecessary work.? That wasn?t reflected in my experience

They installed worse tires than what I ordered. The wheel trim which had been in use for 11 years, was lost the day after the tire was changed.

The team evaluated the problem I was having with the twin-battery system in our Ford Transit 3.5 van; replaced the dodgy battery (which improved starting notably) with the bonus that the central locking issues I'd been having appear to have been fixed as a result of the battery replacement.
