I was shopping online and decided to contact them for help to which they replied the same day. The item I requested was in stock and they must have posted to me the same day as delivery was so quick.

Used the cafe - food and drink good, waitress service like it used to be i.e. professional, courteous and efficient. Shop is similarly worth a visit, like department stores used to be!

Great department store - so nice to still have one, and this one is easily navigated, unlike the huge stores. Friendly, good selection of products and clothing, a cafe, hairdresser's and a lovely decor and ambience.

Was so unwell after eating here, came to dumfries with my family for a nice day out to do some shopping, went to barbours for some lunch to start off the day and had a tuna and cheese panini. No idea what they cooked the panini in but it was so squished and the filling was all over the place, didn?t even get to finish my panini and my stomach turned and I became very unwell, the tuna tasted as if it had been left over from the day before so I?m pinpointing that as the root cause. Ruined my day out and wont be back?

Excellent department store with womens and gents fashions and , a fabric and furniture section across the road one of the few left in the country with a superb cafe with a steak pie that is hard to beat .

I feel fortunate that we have Barbours in Dumfries. So many cities and towns such as Newcastle, Edinburgh, Bournemouth and Manchester where I have lived and worked, have all lost their department stores in the last decade.
Barbours has good fashion, beauty and shoe departments and an excellent restaurant with a good menu, which is good value. Also a great furniture department and homewards section as well as men's clothing. I don't need anything more. Fantastic.
