Absolutely terrible service went in heard them say they're not seating people as too rushed they was empty lol put phone down on someone rude to a customer in front so like others we left and we had a lovely pizza in kirkwall Instead

Popped into the Pier Bistro for a well-earned bowl ? of homemade lentil soup ? and a cappuccino.. we were absolutely blown away with the cleanliness and pleasant service from all of the staff they were amazing, welcoming, friendly, and polite. And the soup was pipping hot delicious ?.

Did not go inside so can?t really rate the atmosphere, we sat on the terrace at the rear with our dogs, the staff were very friendly and attentive, they brought a water bowl and offered treats to the dogs . We had coffee and scones while enjoying the sunshine will visit again.

The best place to eat in The Orkneys. Excellent food, nice seaview, friendly service, the room and premises a bit old-fashioned but in clean and very well maintained!

Awesome food and service! So thankful we popped in for dinner! We had the vegetable lasagna, scampi, chicken nuggets and chicken stir fry. All fantastic!

We had a lovely dinner here of vegetarian lasagne with chips and salad, macaroni cheese (perfect for the baby!), and a piece of peach and almond cake to share for dessert. The food was delicious, the service very fast, and the lovely courtyard outside overlooking a little bit of sunny harbour was the perfect spot for our last dinner on Orkney! The lovely staff kindly provided us with a high chair and a glass of milk for the baby

Just what we needed after sailing in to Stromness tonight. Freshly cooked fish in a lovely, light batter. So friendly, very clean and great value. Thank you Pier!
