We had made several visits in 2023 and had been very impressed with the cullen skink soup. But today the soup failed to impress. It was more like a watery potato soup. Very little evidence of haddock and very watery compared to the thicker, creamier, rich, tasty and well balanced soup of previous visits. Disappointing. The rest of the meal, sandwiches etc were fine as was the quick service. I think we'll avoid tge Cullen skink in future.

We had some lovely cakes, though never tried anything else, it was really busy but that was to be expected with it being a popular tourist spot.Hats off to the staff for managing the high turnover so well.

Last week we visited Skara Brae. Lovely welcome from Kirsty on reception. Enjoyed morning coffee with a (very large) freshly baked scone. Went back for lunch and due to number of visitors on the day, the soup was nearly all gone but Magnus did a sterling job in getting us what we wanted. Very impressed by the site, the staff and the quality of the food.

(Translated by Google) Skara Brae café is located inside the ticket office and tourist shop of Skara Brae, an important Neolithic village. It has a large parking area. The weather was terrible, the site was closed but we just went for lunch. The coffee shop was clean and the staff were fabulous, super nice and smiling the girl who served us. Very good fish soup. Next to the cash desk there are cutlery, tap water, salt and pepper, sugar, napkins. Clean tables and all seating for six. I tavoli puliti e tutti a sei posti a sedere. I bagni puliti e perfetti.

Try the Orkney cheese scones, they are absolutely delicious! Lovely coffee too! Tea was perfect...hot and refreshing. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.

Great Scones. Really nice staff but the seating area is small for such a busy monument.

The Café is ok, but don?t expect too muchBeing the only Café close to Skara Brae, you just must go there. But it?s ok, because the place is nice, and within the Visitor Centre. The Café staff was professional yet rather cold? but this is kind of normal in places usually stormed by ?hordes? of tourists?Food too was good enough, but getting water (pitcher one) was hard and kind of tricky?Price per quality: fair.
