We had made several visits in 2023 and had been very impressed with the cullen skink soup. But today the soup failed to impress. It was more like a watery potato soup. We had some lovely cakes, though never tried anything else, it was really busy but that was to be expected with it being a popular tourist spot.Hats off to the staff for managing the high turnover so well.

Last week we visited Skara Brae. Lovely welcome from Kirsty on reception. Enjoyed morning coffee with a (very large) freshly baked scone. Went back for lunch and due to number of visitors on the day, the soup was nearly all gone but Magnus did a sterling job in getting us what we wanted.
