Great experience renting from here! Took a leisurely ride from Stromness to the Ring of Brodgar and then Skara Brae. Way better way to experience the countryside than driving!

The owner was friendly but the bikes were a bit disappointing. The brakes were not tuned, the highest range didn't work because the derailleur was out of adjustment, the tires were low on air, the handlebars were loose. But on the plus side, the bikes did manage to bring us the 16 miles there and back to Skara Brae without serious issue. Helmets were no additional cost.

Really great experience with John's bikes and service. Flexible pick up, great bikes and panniers that served us well for nearly 80 miles around Orkney. Would recommend.

Great and efficient service! We made a last-minute decision to hire bikes so did not book and this wasn't an issue at all. Owner was very helpful in helping us select most appropriate bike and provided helmets free of charge! Bikes were sturdy and comfortable. Took on ferry from Stromness to North Hoy and managed to visit Rackwick Bay, Dwarfie Stane & walk up to the Old Man of Hoy. Very flexible for returning bikes too! Brilliant service at a great price, would thoroughly recommend! Remember to bring cash to pay for hire!

John's bike is really amazing. It was well maintained and never gave me trouble during my ride. Provided me a free helmet and a side bag to carry my stuff. I think it's the most efficient way to explore around orkney as there were limited bus running. Went to ring of Brodgar, Skara Brae and Yesnaby cliffs. Wonderful scenery along the way. The road is peaceful and gentle hills, I'm not a cyclist myself. Started at around 10am and returned the bike at 4pm with a lot of stops and rest to enjoy the views. Thanks to John and his bike, it was a worthy adventure. He is also friendly, really nice and very approachable. Would highly recommended ?

Managed by a very good and honest man called Joe. He made my trip to Orkney and I strongly recommend to come over and grab your bicycle for a tour around. Make sure to pre-book and bring cash with you to pay!

Great place to rent a bike from. The bike I rented was solid, and I rode it all around Orkney and Hoy. They also offer helmets, which I appreciated. The owner was very kind, and was flexible with my arrival time.
