Staff very friendly and welcoming Food disappointing. Plate was cold and food look warm. 2 tiny roast potatoes under cooked and soggy. Yorkshire pudding was stone cold. One slice of meet which was under cooked stringy and chewy. Will not be going back.

Fantastic hotel, great food, if you like to golf, good looking course. Rooms are very clean, staff are very friendly. This hotel has the best shower I have ever had in my entire life, so good I didn't want to exit and could have stood there all night long. Great place for a comfortable relaxing g stay especially after working a long hard shift. 12 out of 10

Just home from a lovely festive lunch at the Royal Golf Hotel in Dornoch. The food was delicious and the service was first class, all in beautiful, festive surroundings.
If you are looking for somewhere special to start your festive season I would highly recommend that you come here.

Great hotel to stay it in a picture perfect location in Dornoch. Great location next to the golf club, courses and a short stroll to a very nice beach or into the town itself. The rooms were large, comfortable and clean and the staff were all absolutely great. Very friendly and always on hand for any requests. Breakfasts were very nice and much appreciated on the chilly highlands mornings!

I stayed at the Royal Golf Hotel in Dornoch with my dog. The golf course and surrounding area are absolutely stunning ? clearly a lot of care goes into keeping them in top condition. The hotel itself has charm and a lovely old-world feel, but unfortunately the guest experience didn?t match the setting. Service in the restaurant was underwhelming, and the room wasn?t as clean as it should have been, with a stained carpet. It almost felt like they look after the course better than the guests. With such an incredible location, a little more focus on service and housekeeping would make all the difference.

For the price the food wasn't the best especially the gnocchi. The mushrooms were undercooked and gnocchi itself was overcooked and overall tasteless but the chicken breast was nice. Staff were lovely though. Just to point out the bathrooms definitely need cleaning.

Booked for a last minute arrival. Friendly welcome. Nice lounge bar and breakfast room. While the bed was comfy with quality bedding, the room was a bit tired and dated in places, with a pricetag that matched a higher quality room. The setting itself is lovely, overlooking the sands and the golf course.

Price at the restaurant was higher than online menu. Burger changed from 8oz to 6oz from online menu to on site, steak and burger overcooked. Staff was kind and helpful but the food was just bad.

Lovely hotel, rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. I deducted a star as I was on the top floor and there was a note to say it took longer for the hot water to flow, having left the shower to run for 10 mins, I only got tepid water to shower in. Breakfast was lovely, though I ended up with 2 rounds of toast, 1 of which I didn't order! I felt the service didn't match the high end feel of the hotel.

Our stay at the Royal Golf Hotel was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the warm Highland hospitality made us feel right at home. The stunning views over the Dornoch Firth and the championship golf courses took our breath away?whether you're a golfer or just appreciate natural beauty, this place is a dream.
The rooms were luxurious impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. The shower was amazing along with Arran aromatic soap as well.
The bar was a perfect place to relax after battling the golf course and we lucked out with an amazing accordion player on Saturday night playing the tunes whilst we chatted and watched the golf on tv .
What truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional service Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable?friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about Dornoch?s charm.
Whether you're here for golf, relaxation, or exploring the Highlands the Royal Golf Hotel delivers on every level. We can?t wait to return! 10/10 recommend.

fantastic food for the price - we went for Sunday lunch and the quality of the food for the price was simply our on its own - seriously beautiful views, too and half the price of what you?d expect to pay for a cracking roast in the Highlands
