Luigis was recommended to me by 2 work colleagues. 1 of them said, 'Sarah, don't write a bad review.' I don't. I just write truthful reviews.
How could I write a bad review when the service was really quick. They came with a cold bottle of water & 2 glasses to us when we sat down. I thought this was a really nice personal touch. The food was very pleasing to the eye & as you eat with your eyes before tasting the food, it was great, & very tasty. I had the tempura prawn salad & Tonka bean crème brulee with summer berries. The tempura prawns were very delicately cooked, salad had different lettuce leaves chopped up. There was a sweet flavour to the dressing. Creme brulee was lovely soft & creamy with a crispy top. Don't know what the Tonka bean was.
Dad had the lobster thermidor, which he had never had before & it was lovely. Followed by ice-cream.

My second trip to Dornoch, and of course I wanted to eat at Luigi! Food, service and atmosphere were outstanding.

We've been coming here for over a decade whenever we're in the Dornoch area. It remains excellent. Loved the Lobster Thermidor this time. Always spoilt for choice with the desserts and cakes. Relaxed but attentive service as ever. Pristine decor and cleanliness.

Glad we called and made a booking a few days prior, by the sounds of it we just got in thankfully- our meals were delicious (mushroom and spinach risotto and seafood linguine accompanied with a lovely glass of Italian white wine followed by a shared sticky toffee pudding and a
REAL flat white coffee ( something ive been hanging out for a while that seems impossible to get around the UK) that finished off evening perfectly.

Really nice restaurant with a brilliant menu and great service. I had the mussels and half lobster thermodor. They were both excellent especially the lobster. It's probably worth booking before you go as it was busy even on a Tuesday night.

Very pleasant meal. Had the tempura squid to start and the seafood linguine for main - both fantastic. Would highly recommend a visit to Luigi.

Last night of our holiday and what a treat. Luigi?s provides you with a special feeling of great prepared food to perfection. The fish is fresh and local. Would highly recommend that you do not miss Luigi?s not only for the fabulous food, but the atmosphere and service.

Poor food and appalling customer service. I ordered a burger, the 1st chip I put in my mouth exploded with disgusting hot oil which burned my throat. I told the waiter who just walked away. I had to go get myself water. He then tells me I was unlucky to eat a hot chip, in complete denial that you've just injured a paying customer with badly prepared food. There was no apology. An absolute joke of a waiter and establishment.
