We only came for food, the tasting menu is brilliant. The chef and his team do a fantastic job. He came out and described the dishes with enthusiasm and care. Theo is a master to the craft at mara!. Mia and her team are very attentive and ensure your drinks are never empty and recommend the best drinks to compliment your meal. Archie made some of the best mocktails I have had, he asked what I liked, I just told him to go crazy and he did not disappoint!

A beautiful stay in Links House Hotel, or first stop in the Highlands. Whilst the house and room were immaculate and beautiful. The team, service & food were outstanding. One of my favourite ever stays in the UK. Highly recommend if you are on the C500 as a perfect start to the trip

Rooms immaculate, service exemplary and location- for golfers- unbeatable. Food choices in the Mara restaurant are limited, and evening meals below par for a fine dining price point.

Our stay at Links House was absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect, from the beautifully kept rooms to the incredible food at Mara restaurant. The staff went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome and taken care of. It?s clear they pay attention to every little detail?truly one of the best experiences we?ve ever had!

It?s a shame you?re limited to 5 stars - this should be 6! An absolutely stunning hotel where every single person we met made us feel right at home and super welcome. The rooms are stunning with really comfy beds. Mara, the restaurant, is out of this world good. The new head chef is a culinary magician - every single thing we ate was out of this world delicious. Durnoch beach at sunrise is something else - very accessible with a short easy walk through the links golf course next door. We are already booking our next trip.
