We ate here to have a nice evening. The pizza was okay, but not top class either. Had pizza with haggis - sounds interesting, tastes good too, but not like haggis. But the IPA and the huge, really interesting whiskey selection are absolutely top. The service is also very nice, competent and fast. Thank you, we hope we can come back again??!

We had a relaxing afternoon here. Drinking Whiskey and also buying Whiskey here. Very friendly and helpful staff. Open fire and a marvelous atmosphere. Loved the whole experience and will definitely return. Would very much recommend. 5 ?.Food & drinks: Fantastic variety of Whiskey to enjoy or take home too. Excellent ?

Love going in here for food whenever I get the opportunity! The pizza and cocktails are amazing, especially on a sunny day in the beer garden. The staff are all welcoming and friendly. Would recommend!

Stayed here in February,then again when the whisky deal was on.We had an evening meal in the restaurant,which was excellent and of course the whisky bar with so many choices,and very fairly priced.The staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable,great place to stay for a weekend break.

Absolutely loved our recent stay at the Dornoch Castle Hotel. Kids loved the family room at the top of the stairs and having their own bedroom too. Evening meals were excellent and the kids portions were massive. Really good continental breakfasts to start our day (which included bacon and fried eggs too). As a whisky geek, I was in my element at the bar in the evenings. Highly recommend and cant wait to go back. Slainte

Did not go to this Hotel. I visited the village very nice and used the Milk & Honey cafe enjoyed a drink & quiche.

Quirky and welcoming hotel in the village centre. It is an old building and has a lot of character, which I loved. I didn't see a lift so maybe not suitable to those with accessibility concerns, best to check first. We stayed in a superior garden view room that was clean and spacious, but could use some updating and soundproofing, it was not a luxuriousroom. I think some of the hotels rooms have been redone and probably they will work their way through all of them at some point. But it was ok and wasn't very expensive by Dornoch standards. The restaurant was lovely, for both breakfast and dinner. The lounge bar is really cosy and a fun space to have a few drinks. The staff are fantastic, and really make the hotel an exceptional experience. They all seemed friendly and helpful and happy to be there. I hope they are treated well by management because great hospitality staff are worth their weight in gold!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Standard rooms are a cheaply built block off the rear that are pretty shabby.
