Wouldn?t recommend cafe India, food was absolutely vile, pizza had no tomato base whatsoever it was just like they slapped cheese on a pizza base, the curry sauce was a paste that looked like someone had put their hand in the toilet and shoved it on the chips!!! The doner was cut in cubes and was like eating rubber. Food ended up in the bin. What a waste of money!!!

First off, their prices are ridiculous. We tried them a year ago and paid more for a take home curry than we did when we go sit down at a restaurant!! The food tasted ok back then. Nothing memorable but not awful.
I saw the sign that they were under new ownership. I thought I'd try them again. I wouldn't have thought it was possible, but they've gotten worse.
I paid more than £25 for 2 ckn curries and 2 naans. No rice. No starters. Not even a poppadom. 25 POUNDS.
I made my own 'hoose rice'.
Flavour: my son got the HOT Garlic chili which was not hot at all. Did they think we look like people who can't handle spicy food? The korma tastes like it came from a cheap jar sauce.
I thought the saving grace would be the Peshawari Naan. The previous owners made a great peshawari naan, but nope. Doughy. Bland. No honey.
Forget this place. I can't stand when places price gouge us because we're in a rural area. I couldn't believe their prices and then the low quality food. It's such an insult.
If you want GREAT Indian food at an amazing price (£6 for a starter, curry, AND rice for lunch), then look at Jai Apur in Ardrossan. Those folks know how to make a tasty curry that's easy on the wallet. It's worth the drive.
As for this place, drive past. Give it a miss.

This place is rotten, I got a steak pie supper and a peshawar nan, wow how difficult is it to cook that, will never bit from again, chips are actually cold and solid, grease ran out my steak pie as soon as I opened it, would starve rather than get from here again, chips going in the bin.

Absolutely disgusting vile what I've just been delivered, curry was lumpy and sour tasting? I asked for extra garlic butter on my nan bread...no garlic taste at all just a cheap margarine used, inedible and I waited over an hour for it, plenty of time to make it fresh, I phoned a complaint in and he just sat silent on the phone not known what to say, I was really hungry so believe me I could've ate ANYTHING but nope no chance gadzz, i was boaking just tryn to eat it and as a lady that cooks, we all know what happens to sauce with cream in it when u freeze it and reheat it, it goes lumpy and watery, exactly? what they just delivered to me, if i wanted a ready meal I'd have paid £1 for it, ive asked for them to come pick it up and refund me, so we'll see what happens now, if they don't refund me ..I'll be at their shop tom when I'm out with it, ive took a vid of it !! Absolutely disgusting even delivering that and takn cash, close down you don't have what it takes, stop robbing folk...that's vile, everyone told me don't go near it Allison so he comes to my door and im a single lass with LVSD heart failure and he laughed right in my face and told me it was his Chefs fault absolutely nuthn to do with him, wouldn't give me my cash back? I'd to sit the full meal out on the front step and said either refund me or I'm calln the police, he then realised my camera ? was recording everything? I'd to keep my friend on the phone to kerp me calm, a huge MAN at my door kickn off at me as I wouldn't eat food that was clearly off, he then returned the next night to my door with another meal but I feel it was just to get me to change my review and this will NEVER come down until that place changes but to me the harm is already done, this is NOT the way to be treating customers esp in a tiny village, word spreads like wildfire, Indian is NOT an option for me anymore, take care !!

Since new owners went twice. Kebab and most went in the bin tasted awful.
Tonight sausage supper . It tasted worst and chips the same as if cooked yestetday. Sorry but won't be back.
People might read the great reviews from previous owners but this is now lacking of any quality of food.
Hopefully it picks up in quality but what I've read in other reviews it's just getting worst rather than better

Veg pakora and chicken pakora was alright.
Lamb biryani sauce was like toilet water disgusting.
Chicken korma 3 small bits of chicken and tasted like cheese.
Pashwari nan - burnt
Overall very poor, worst meal I have ever had.
Partner has been left with a bad belly.

I love Indian food & used to work for the previous owner and always gave a 5* rating, the last 3 meals (all different) under the new owners have been downright awful with no flavour whatsoever, will NOT be back!!

Asked for 3 pakora sauces. Didn't receive them. I tried to phone at 21.50, but there was no response. I know it is only 3 pakora sauce, but when you spend £29 you expect what you order. But they seem very nice

New owner..... really gone downhill. Think this is the last time. Last three orders really bad. Tiny portions, No sauce on kebabs, over done chips. No offer of any sauce on burgers ...pull your socks up or you won't be able to afford socks.

New owner at cafe india.. will not use you again... £50 order... pizzas burnt .. nan breads actually almost raw.. chips must have been made hours ago still chewin my first one ... not a good start... but at least the rice was cooked
