Staff are pleasant and helpful. They could do with more tellers actually helping rather than greeting you at the door and offering water. Nice touch but not really what we come into the bank for.I left feeling accomplished. And very welcome ;)

Staff very helpful either face to face or on phone. Have time to listen to issues. Automated phone answering an unmitigated disaster. If you don't answer the automated question correctly it continues to interrogate with no solution. Then gives you 7 options none that suited my query.

I recently lost my mother. I went into Bathgate Branch to close her account and inform them.I handed over all necessary documents.I was informed by the branch manager that I wasn't executor of my mum's estate,even though I had a letter from my 82 yo uncle handing over the rights to myself.The manager was rude, abrupt and told me anyone could have written this letter and wouldn't accept it.Bathgate is attrocious

Absolutely hopeless! Regular queues around the corner when all other banks in Dalkeith you can just walk in. Directors of RBS should be sacked as they are so out of touch with what is happening in some branches. Very sad as Royal Bank of Scotland used to be the best banking company in the UK! How the mighty have fallen!

Website should advise there is no teller service on Saturdays. Wasted 1/2hr driving to/from this Branch. Normally visit a few times each year and staff have been great - Not a RBS Customer. Needed to pay in cash to settle an RBS member?s Invoice - could not do so via teller only via RBS machines so I left. More because of the demeanour of the RBS employee. Since Covid the lady marshalling customers into the queue could do with toning down her regimental sergeant major attitude and needs to remember RBS staff are not the only ones getting used to Covid etiquette. A less autocratic approach to customers would be appreciated.

Slow, inefficient. Reduced hours and no weekend opening claiming to be due to Covid.So cramming the same number of people into the branch in less time is safer?
