A beautiful setting for this hotel and lovely comfortable rooms. Nice touch to offer afternoon tea with delicious scones on arrival. We had a pleasant walk around the grounds and edge of the loch when we arrived.Food was good but restaurant a little lacking in atmosphere but then our visit was towards the end of the season.

We made a last minute booking due to poor weather conditions, that would have made our camping plans less fun.We were welcomed to the hotel and shown our room. The hotel was perfectly warm and comfy, exactly what we needed. Complementary tea and scones in front of the fire in the lounge warmed us through. The food, service and attention to detail were beyond our expectations and really deserve more than the 5 stars. The room was very comfy. We would definitely recommend.Food & drinks: Amazing restaurant quality with local produce.

This hotel fulfills every wish, be it the location, the facilities, rooms, restaurant, lounge, bar, crackling Swedish stove, and so on. Every little thing is thought of to pamper the guest. Sitting in the lounge and having the complimentary tea/coffee with scones while enjoying the wonderful views over the bay is heavenly pleasure. The cuisine is «haut cuisine», with local products, every day there are 3 menus to choose from (meat, fish and vegetarian). The breakfast is also excellent. The room we had was perhaps a bit small and didn't have much space for our luggage, but more important were the beds with a wonderful mattress and bedding, which guaranteed a good night's sleep. Bathroom and shower excellent, fluffy bath towels. This hotel rightly deserves its award as ?best hotel in Scotland?. Will definitely come back.Rooms: Rather small but equipped with everything you need. High-class beds. Bathroom meets all needs.Food & drinks: You should definitely eat meals. Skin cuisine. 3 fresh menus every day, meat, fish and vegetarian.

Absolutely wonderful location, if you're lucky the view from your room will be brilliant. However, the walls here were the thinnest we've come across: we could hear our neighbours' conversations word for word in the very early morning. The room was small and the bed a little narrow. Upon checking out we were given a box with two apples and chocolate bars, which was a nice touch.

We ate twice at the excellent restaurant which makes the most of local very fresh ingredients from the sea and the land. My tempura prawns were to die for, and the slow roast beef I had was heavenly. Salmon, ribeye steak and venison pate were some of the other wonderful dishes we had. The service was friendly and I was very grateful for the gluten free accommodations, including lovely gluten free rolls.

Really can't fault this hotel. Stayed for one night whilst travelling back home. Hospitality at its best with friendly and knowledgeable staff, outstanding food, great views and wonderful gardens. Dog friendly for those with dogs but not obtrusive for those without. Would highly recommend and will be back.

This is a lovely hotel in an exceptional setting. It?s worth planning your itinerary around a stay here. You?ll want at least two nights.Nearby activities: Walking, nearby boat tours, driving the scenic coast. The local scenery and geology are exceptional.Walkability: Realistically need a car to visit this remote corner of Scotland.Food & drinks: Awesome restaurant and bar. Plan to have all your dinners here. The food is fabulous and the alternatives are few.

Great views, outstanding food, the lady hoste was lovely, but the gentleman never smiled once ? during our stay, which made me feel like I was an inconvenience. I was also disappointed that they didn't serve Guinness ?.

The hotel owners were very accommodating considering we booked very last minute. Absolutely gorgeous location looking over the bay. The room was clean and bedding was lovely and clean and crisp. We had a fantastic nights rest the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast included was 10/10 and the breakfast room looking out to the garden with many birds was delightful. I would highly recommend and hopefully will come back one day.

My partner organised our stay at the Eddrachillies for my 26th birthday as the North Coast 500 was something we?d talked about doing for so long. We arrived to the charming location shortly after five, where Fiona greeted us warmly and showed us to our beautiful sea view room. No pictures can do the scene justice, it was simply wonderful. We took a walk around the gardens, through a forested trail and found ourselves shoreside, enjoying warm sunshine and the views the Eddrachillies Hotel is known for - the Heberdies. We attended our evening meal for 7pm and we were shown to our table. Two chilled bottles of Prosecco greeted us and we enjoyed our drinks with a beautiful view of the gardens. Our meal was cooked to perfection, our starters decadently presented and our mains left us too full for desert. We retired to the sunroom, facing south west to watch as the light faded, enjoying drinks from a wide selection of gins and IPAs. After a cheeky game of scrabble (using the scrabble dictionary) we retired to our room for an incredibly comfortable sleep. We arrived for breakfast and had made to order cooked breakfasts, tea and coffee before taking one final walk around the gardens as we concluded our stay. The staff attended to our every need and made us feel like guests in their home. The tranquil environment allowed us to switch off from our hustle and bustle lives to enjoy scenic Scotland. I would recommend this hotel for anyone seeking refuge from everyday life. Bring a good book, prepare for beautiful views and some fantastic food.

Stayed just the 1 night, had a courtyard room which was well appointed. The hotel has a quiet calming atmosphere and great views over Badcoll bay.Diner is either 7pm or 8pm, and the menu changes on a daily basis. All ingredients are sourced locally as possible and are well presented on the plate. There is a great section at breakfast including cooked meals.Would recommend if you want to get away from the daily routine.
