authentic Italian restaurant with lots of charm & traditional vibes. The early bird 2 course menu is excellent value for money at £13.50 pp with all the classic dishes on. We opted for the regular menu, i had the calamari fritters & sea bass with mushroom ravioli ( was lobster on menu but they had run out). The fish was cooked to perfection & the ravioli was amazing in the red pepper sauce. My partner had panzenolle ( probably spelt that wrong but it was pieces of pizza dough with a garlic mayo dip ) & steak diane. He said the steak was one of the best he had, very tender. The restaurant was full, which apparently it is mostly, good atmosphere & lots of attentive staff. very good?

I took my Grandson and his lovely fiance for a celebration meal. The service was outstanding. We each had different choices from the menu and had a sneaky taste of one another's dishes. Yummy. I live in Dalbeattie but only go to Luigi's when family are visiting mores the pity. I have never been disappointed with any dish I have had.

Came in with my friend for a lovely catch up and meal. Staff were helpful and lovely. The atmosphere was great very relaxing. I had a fillet steak and my friend had some pasta made to her liking and we weren?t disappointed 10/10 food. Would definitely come again!

this place is fire asl, the outside kinda made me second guess cuz it looks like a fast food place but when i got inside it was proper nice, everyone was talking and the staff are polite and cool . my dad got a fillet which apparently was better then some of the steak specialist restaurants near our home and i got a salad cuz i had a bowl of cereal before coming and you can?t really mess up a salad. we also got puddings, tiramisu which was sooooo good, and profiteroles which was obviously good as well. so yes i recommend going for sure

Old school Italian, pretty decent food for a really good price in their pre 6.30 deal. Friendly staff, good service. Would certainly go again.

Very good meal with my wife and two friends from down south. Chicken marsala was very tasty. Chicken was perfect. My wife enjoyed the salmon dish also cooked to perfection. The pizza was also very good. The staff were efficient and very friendly.

Our third time eating at Luigi?s while staying in nearby Rockcliffe. Not only does the restaurant look run down from outside but the food was very bland. Starters weren?t bad- garlic prawns and a caprese salad but my chicken /chilli pizza was tasteless and totally soggy in the middle. I don?t think I ate more than a third of it. Hubby had a penne pasta primavera which again was lacking in taste. He had to ask for some Parmesan and received a bit more than a thimbleful! Very disappointing and we won?t be back!

Always look forward to takeaway pizza and we weren't disappointed this time either. The tropical pizza has massive prices of pineapple on it and the meat feast is a proper feast of meat. The mince beef on it is especially good. Best pizza we have had in the area

Often go for early dinner here - great service & food, great value for money, lots of choice, great with different needs and requests.

Have visited this restaurant many times over the years and very disappointed this time Food was tastless and bland Service was bad Asked for parmesan and came in the smallest container I have ever seen that the spoon would not even fit in Waitresses never came to ask how meal was if we wanted anything had to keep waving them down to ask for help too busy chatting in the kitchen Bill wasn't itemised was just a small totalled chit Asked for side plates came with large starter plates Very disappointed Luigis get your act together We won't be visiting again ! I have to say we have visited this place many times and this time was the worst Will not be going again!

2 course £12.50 (5 people), several options available, we ordered cheesy garlic mushroom ciabata x 3, scampi x1, pepperoni pizza x1, 3 cheese pizza, 2 lasange & chips, penne mamma mia x1, all delicious hot & plates cleared. well worth a visit, Very authentic italian atmosphere, great service.

I had high hopes for this place after seeing some of the reviews. Not sure if they went to the same place? Service was appalling. Five waiting staff for a half full restaurant and they still took forever to come to tables. I had the worst bruschetta ever in a restaurant. The layer underneath the slices tomato tasted like tinned tomato mushed with some garlic. My main was carbonara. It was disgusting. More like a weak soup with some pasta through it. My partner had a pizza, the reason for two rather than just one star was the pizza was actually ok. Wouldn?t return even if offered a free meal.
