Gonna need to stop going here. Queue out the door most days
September 2025 by Kyle MacNeill
If it was possible would give it zero stars due to lack of staff people all ready waiting in the queue 30 plus minutes so thought if I just hand in my prescription and get it later on that day but man straight up said no he was wanting me to wait in the queue for a long time plus come back after then again wait in the queue no thanks ?

I have baan calling the pharmacy most of the day with no one picking up. I currently suffer from three lots of cancer but unfortunately I will have to go in person to find out if my meds are ready!!!!! Absolutely deplorable service. Why have a phone that will not be answered????!!!!

Disappointed with this chemist! For past 4 months my husband tried collecting my prescriptions to be given only half of my prescriptions and told nothing else to recieve only for me to go up (on same day) and be given the remaining prescriptions without any issues and when asked why was this not given ro my husband they have no answers!! This is not acceptable plus the pharmacist was very rude to me when I called!!

Usually use this pharmacy without any issue but tonight was ridiculous. Massive queue and felt sorry for the women serving. Waited 30 minutes to be seen (not bothered, could see it was busy) only to be served and the women to be extremely rude. She cut me off when trying to explain what I needed (an emergency supply of 2 tablets until the other pharmacy with my daughters prescription had them back in). Was told it would be at pharmacist discretion but they said no as 'I should have some already or ordered sooner'. I told her the pharmacy was out of stock (they were ordered on time). She said I was to call 111. It's 6.30pm at night and instead of giving me 2 tablets (which I wanted to pay for) I've to call 111? I usually get all our prescriptions here but have only just moved doctors and they automatically sent her prescription to their own pharmacy. It felt more like she didn't want to help because I used them even though I clearly have always used Asda. My daughter has serious mental health problems and needs the medication so I'm honestly just annoyed at the lack of decency to prescribe in an emergency situation and also the attitude of the women serving. Shaking your head and cutting people off, telling them they should have ordered sooner etc is pretty disgraceful.
All the other staff and pharmacists are lovely - maybe she should retrain by shadowing one of them.

Pharmacists here appear very uncomfortable providing basic pharmacy services / functions.
Went a few months ago for help with basic UTI symptoms, to be made to feel stupid and incorrect, resulting in me having to use a GP appt and take weeks of antibiotics because the infection had been left unnecessarily.
Then in store this week I attended to ask for an emergency prescription of a non-controlled, reasonably low risk medication that I?ve been on for years. Pharmacist said point blank no. Went round the corner to Boots who had no issue in supporting.
I appreciate dispensing is at the pharmacists discretion, however I would genuinely say it?s a waste of time even asking the staff at this pharmacy for support.

Pharmacist was fantastic sorting my partners script which OOH didn?t send due to boundary issues. Great team! Thanks so much!

Shocking service by staff, came in at 10 to 1 and there were 2 women working. Place was dead and they were just standing about chatting so thought I?d just be in and out super quickly. Spoke to one of them and explained that I had a bladder infection and that I was in a lot of pain and discomfort and probably needed antibiotics as I had already seen another pharmacy a couple days before who just gave me sachets and it had since gotten worse. I was met with a reply of ?let me check because we close for lunch at 1? she came back and asked if I could come back at 2 and I said that I couldn?t because I was currently on my lunch break from 12:45-1:45. She again said that it?s because they go for lunch at 1?I replied saying that it was 10 to at the moment was there no way of quickly doing it now. She said no ?there?s a form we have to fill out then get the prescription, but there?s boots in the other centre? I then had to spend the rest of my lunch break looking for another pharmacy as I didn?t really feel in the mood to hunt around a shopping centre looking for boots while I was in extreme pain. Managed to find one and was in and out with antibiotics in 3 minutes.I find it absolutely disgusting that your ?pharmacists? would prioritise their lunch instead of helping someone who needs antibiotics?helping me would have pushed their lunch back by maximum 5 minutes if any time at all.Shocking, get a new career if that?s how you?re going to act with people who need prescription medicine.

Dropped a prescription off and told to come back in half an hour, only to be told when went back that there is none, there is a very simple solution to this which other places use, maybe check have the items in stock before a complete waste of the customers time ?

Staff at Asda Cumbernauld pharmacy have always been helpful and professional when assisting me.
