Just had a one night stay, people.were lovely, food was excellent. Only fault, which we did mention, was that house keeping could have been better. Would definitely go back.Food & drinks: We had our evening meal, drinks and breakfast at the hotel and all we brilliant. Fair choice of drinks, both draught and bottled. As well as a plethora of spirits.

Nice Hotel, good Beer Garden out the back and perhaps one of the best I've seen... Incredibly busy on the Saturday when I visited to the extent that they had already fully booked out for food for the evening...This could have been due to the fact that it was the only establishment which sold alcohol and was open... One other being closed and a Hotel at the other end of the village was being refurbished...But all said myself and those in my company had a great time and can't complain about the friendliness or service...Nearby activities: Make a point of taking time to visit the Camp of CULTYBRAGGAN for a bit of local and national history...Apart from the fact that it was used during World War II to house Prisoners of War, it has now been bought from the MOD and is being used for various purposes to enhance local businesses and those with a business venture which just needs a good base... (Pardon the Pun).Naturally there is a museum within the compound to help enlighten us as to all that went on at the camp and after the War it was used to Train future defenders of our Nation and that included utilising the surrounding hills for overnight manoeuvres as it is perfect terrain. But don't worry if You don't think You can do Hill walks as getting to the Camp from the village is a flat walk of about 30-40 minutes...It is definitely worth the walk or drive and see for Yourself the many Nissen Huts used over the years...Walkability: As mentioned above, the village of Comrie is itself set on a plateau but surrounded by nearby hills and forests... There are river walks which actually lead to the Camp amongst other places and there are 2 small shops which cater for most items and there is a Fish and Chip shop on the way into the village which does excellent food... There is very little to say but visit this place steeped in History and relax in the ambience of the locals as well as the location.
