Hotels in Crieff, Scotland

“Stayed the weekend of the 13th and 14th of December. Positives would be the hotel looked fabulous for Christmas, the room was clean and well serviced. The activity pass for Archery, Shooting and Axe throwing was good value and fun. Negative would be the food. Dinner on Friday was beef Bourgogne, meat was full of grisle and lacked taste. Dinner in the Meikle on Saturday was disgraceful. Ordered the tomohawk steak, medium, it came after an hour. It was well done and cold. The concierge was helpful, gave us a couple of drinks and said he'd replace it and the Head Chef would come to the table with it. Another steak was brought out, no head chef. This steak was fairly edible despite the excess grissel. A very disappointing meal. Breakfast each day meant queuing, despite booking a table, as the hotel was so busy. Sunday's breakfast food was cold. Staff entering the kitchen with no head gear was a further concern. In summary a nice looking hotel with a kitchen so badly run that the food offer is 2*. I personally would not return here.”

“Just had a one night stay, people.were lovely, food was excellent. Only fault, which we did mention, was that house keeping could have been better. Would definitely go back.Food & drinks: We had our evening meal, drinks and breakfast at the hotel and all we brilliant. Fair choice of drinks, both draught and bottled. As well as a plethora of spirits.”

“Stayed in the triple ensuite room in their cottage behind the hotel. Good choice of breakfast. Perfect base for exploring Perthshire. June, the owner, was wonderful and our 13yr old daughter has said she will miss her!”
