It?s a lovely hotel in a beautiful location, the staff are very friendly and the beds comfortable and rooms are spacious and clean. But the walls are thin and there?s a weird low level humming noise constantly, the (few) cars driving past sound like they?re driving through your room, and it?s old loud pipeworks throughout the building and it?s generally just quite noisy. I also think charging £15 per dog per night is a bit excessive but I find that everywhere. Breakfast was good though and dinner was nice too.

Booked in on short notice due to bad weather, next thing we're in a lovely warm comfy room. The room and all of the hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly and approachable. We'll stocked bar and a lovely restaurant serving tasty and well cooked food. The breakfast has an extensive choice and is delicious. All in all, a great hotel with wonderful staff.Rooms: Warm, clean and comfy

I was fortunate enough to stay at this hotel over Christmas. I loved my room, the restaurant and conservatory. The bar was functional and welcoming but unavoidably small.Staff well trained and friendly, Manageress very efficient and friendly.Food top notch, not easy to achieve for a full house.

Great stay, friendly front of house staff especially on the evening we arrived. A warm welcome. Fantastic room, very comfortable bed, incredibly cosy room, limited TV reception+ channels but that wasn't an issue as there is free WiFi & a great bar to relax in.The weather was Wet, Wet, Wet during our 2 night stay but that didn't daunt us & we went for a couple of short soggy local walks & enjoyed an afternoon in nearby Callander. The hotel has a very handy drying room.In better weather conditions the hotel is very handy for hikers as it's mid way along the West Highland Way.Both dinner & breakfast was delicious.Would I stay here again, the answer is most definitely yes, planning a repeat visit for one of the Murder Mystery dinners in the New Year.Would highly recommend a visit.

I would definitely return to the hotel as we had a great stay, but probably not to the restaurant. Gorgeous and nicely decorated hotel and architecture with enormous and spotless room, comfortable bed and very powerful shower. Reception staff were lovely and those servicing the rooms did an excellent job. Cooked breakfasts were delicious 2 out of 3 days (the first day, it was like it had been left out in the desert sun for 24 hours - just an off day perhaps?) and the service was excellent.Very mixed opinions about the restaurant - I found it very odd that, in an empty restaurant with all but one table free at 8pm, we couldn?t sit by the window as ?that is a table for four?. The same waitress (small blonde eastern European lady) was quite moody and impatient with us the whole time. We were told no pizzas are available (for some reason). The rest of the food is overpriced for what it is and doesn?t quite fit with the business model for a hotel where most people will have returned from a day of hiking or exploring and want big, hearty, warming food, not a fake attempt at refined dining. The cullen skink was delicious (but small) but the chilli with rice and a few nachos was flavourless and £16. We didn?t stay for dessert.Overall, we had a lovely time though and I think this is reflected by the 4-star review.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights from Sunday 19th -Tuesday 21st November on a Groupon deal for just £90 B&B. What an absolute bargain!! The hotel is around 6 miles away from Loch Lomond, so we used it as a base for exploring the area. It's a lovely traditional style hotel with modern touches. Looks like it's recently been refurbished. Staff were lovely, the room was spot on with very comfy bed, nice bedding etc. The breakfast was amazing with a great selection and great quality cooked breakfast. And evening meals in the restaurant were very nice too. Nice relaxed atmosphere with cozy log fires in bar area and restaurant. Staff were friendly and really looked after us. Couldn't fault anything whatsoever. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend as amazing value. The area of Crianlarich itself is very quiet (small village) with nothing going on. But great as a base as Loch Lomond not far away. Free hotel parking too which is a bonus.

Great place to stay with your ? All the staff were really very helpful and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble. Just over 1 hour to Stirling, through breathtaking countryside and quaint towns.
