We returned for our annual visit (whilst on holiday in Fife) 10 of us with four grandchildren all aged five and under and the wheels for some of them well and truly came off (unfortunate clash of nap times etc). Every single member of your team treated us with kindness, patience and sympathy. The food and service were, as always, exceptional! Once the kids settled we had a brilliant lunch. Wow, worth the hype! This has been on my to do list since searching for places in Edinburgh and this getting called out as the best and worth the drive out of the city! Having driven over an hour to get here it needed to be good and it was! Excellent attentive service, great menu choices which delivered equally on aesthetics and flavour, lovely calm and relaxed environment whilst still feeling special and topped off with wine list which did not disappoint.

A truly beautiful atmosphere. The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming, ensuring everything up to standard throughout our experience. We ordered clams and ox heart as starters?the ox heart was so tasty we ordered seconds. For main I had undoubtedly one of the most delicious cods I?ve ever had, it was perfectly cooked, seemingly fresh, well seasoned and accompanied. I was there with my parents who also had a pleasurable experience. They ordered lamb and pork belly, both were left beyond satisfied. The prices are fairly adjacent to the quality. I totally recommend this restaurant, both service and food quality are excellent!

An exceptional dinner ? every dish was crafted with real care and flavour. The tagliolini with girolles, broad beans, and pecorino was light, earthy, and beautifully balanced. The Tamworth pork neck came with creamy borlotti beans, fennel, and a fresh green herb sauce ? melt-in-your-mouth tender.

We did not book a table but found that Thursday night was relatively quiet. There was a good choice of meals for meat eaters and vegetarians. My daughter loves pasta so she had the potato and oregano agnolotti with rainbow chard, olives and percolino. I had cod, courgettes, chickpeas and romesco. Both meals were delicious. Our choice of deserts were one plum gelato and one Strawberry Meringue. The dish prices were on the high side.
