I have loved dining here. Was out tonight for my birthday dinner. Starters were perfect. Mains.... Good Grief. Chicken burger was overdone and was like chewing a tyre. Asked for my steak to be done 'medium'...... it was rare, and chewy and just vile. The mash was saltier than the Sahara. We won't be back. £102!!!!! shambolic!!!!

The restaurant came highly recommended and our first visit was enjoyable but we were maybe a little over dressed and felt out of place. Food was lovely though. This being our second visit and it was perfect. We got an excellent table at the window and the Duo of Beef & Steak Pie were outstanding as was the Mint Aero cheesecake of the day (surely made from scratch in-house as it was delicious!) We look forward to another visit as soon as we get a babysitter :-)
Dietary restrictions: There was a Gluten Free menu
Parking: Parking can be accessed from two points. One at the side of the building and one round the back which takes you to the lower level. Make sure to give your registration at hotel or restaurant reception.

Been here a few times over the years.it was our anniversary we came up from wales booked in ordered steak was really chewy chips were missing on my meal waited a long time for staff to get us a dessert menu,the young man behind the bar got a plate of food from the kitchen and wolfed it down behind the bar I had to watch this while waiting for my dessert not what you expect from an al acart restaurant prices gone up but quality and service obviously haven?t put us off coming back.

Great food and menu which includes a brilliant Gluten Free menu, lovely decor, staff brilliant always friendly and helpful. Prices reasonable. I'd recommend booking as it can be busy ..go to place in Coatbridge...it's one of my favourite places in that area.

The restaurant managers attitude on the was disgusting. The restaurant didn?t the soft drink I preferred so went I for iced water. One of my friends arrived with a soft drink, I said I will have that but offer to pay for a coke. Only to have the Manager come up and say very loudly in front of our diners you can not bring your own drink in. I explained I was happy to pay the price of a drink. To which she throw her head back huffed and marched away. I took it she was fine with me paying for the soft even though (they weren?t providing it) only to have her come back and make another seen and march away. I went and tried to speak her privately only to receive the same treatment. Even when I tried to lighten the conversation. Needless to say I with another 3 friends left the restaurant. So for the sake of losing £3 (which they weren?t even losing as I was offering to pay) the restaurant lost easily over £100 of business. Well seen it?s not her own business!

Great steaks! service is usually good! sometimes can be a little slow.
But in honesty food is pretty damn good (for Scotland, where we struggle as ?decent food? is quite novel!)

I have been to mondos several times and food has always been amazing evey time always had amazing service and staff are very welcoming I have tried most things from menu so would advise go have a look see what you fancy and won't be disappointed
