I wanted to try here because of all the good reviews, and I wasn?t totally disappointed. My wife loved her chicken sandwich and the gravy she ordered for her chips. My kids loved their food and ice cream. I absolutely cherished the haggis fritters. They were incredibly good and perfectly prepared. I just have to admit, I really disliked my fish and chips. The fish was very rubbery and had a not so fresh taste. I couldn?t finish it.

Really like the unique setting, kind of wish I had a boat so I could go to the sail-thru takeaway! I had haddock and chips and my husband had cod, chips and mushy peas. Both meals were really tasty. Unfortunately, let down by the tartare sauce, wasn't very nice. Personally would prefer butter on the bread, but I would definitely go back again.
Parking: Large shopping centre opposite, plenty of free parking

This place has been a staple part of my life since it first opened I remember when the boat arrived I can tell you it didn't come up the canal but it should have customer service is great and fast the food be great.... I remember John didn't have grey hair back in the day.... I ran in to him not so long ago he is a great guy and Clydebank community respects him for his many years of service.... I always get a single sausage and a portion of fritters tho I can't remember the last time I was in the upstairs restaurant I think I was 12 but I bet it's no changed I'd recommend all to atleast try it and tell me I'm lying it's not as greasy as some of the chippies I've ate from over the years Here's to you j.mcmongle THANK YOU FOR AWE THE YEARS OF FINE TAKEAWAY...... I HOPE IT CONTINUES LONG EFTER YER AWAY....

Was my favourite resturant but theyv increased prices greatly now and its not worth the price for what you get now therefore iv decided not to return as im not overpaying for something i can get elsewere

Nice breakfast only down side was link sausage.wasnt good quality.
There was no need for chips with your breakfast.

Been coming here since I was a kid
Always serves quality meals, takeaway or sit in. The novelty of sitting in a boat for a meal still endures, it?s a nice little place to go for a date

Disappointing delivery tonight, unfortunately there's no way to leave constructive feedback to the McMonagles team, finished food at 9.30pm and their closed. Unfortunately won't be using them again, other competitors provide higher quality at a similar price point.
