Amazing location. The land is wonderful and flat, you are guaranteed to have an overlooking view towards to Dunnet Head. Phil (who owns the campsite) is a lovely lad who is happy to have a chat with you.
It has showers, sinks, toilets, and drinking water. Reasonably priced at £15 per night for 1 persons tent. Would definitely visit again.

The view is amazing from this campsite. Phil, who owns the place I think, has been an amazing host for us and helped us when our pop up tent was struggling with the wind. Generally with pop up tents this may not be the best place if you are visiting at a windy time. There are toilets and one bathroom which is ok but not the most maintained. The water temperature changes quite a bit and the room is not warm. Phil let us borrow a hair dryer which was super helpful.

We had an excellent stay at Windhaven B&B. The location was beautiful, the room was tidy, but most important; the host was wonderful. I'd definitely recommend a stay here if you're doing the nc500!

This site has to have the best views on Orkney. Grass non electric for motorhome with a view across the bay. Nice walk down to the pier and enclosed dog walking field across the road.
Dish washing and shower/toilet is basic but adequate. Shop/cafe not open when we were there. Friendly helpful owner.

We camped overnight looking for orcas. Unfortunately didn't see any but the lady from the site is very dedicated and very informative. Very helpful and a nice place, views are absolutely sunning and we had sun set and sun rise from our spot in the corner of the feild . Would highly recommend A*

Wow wow wow - what a view from the pitches
Over looking the bay and watching the seals, we also saw some Risso dolphins.
The pitches are good size, table bench provided. Amazing walks from the site.
Facilities are basic but clean. The owners also run a seal rescue center and are full of knowledge and so so helpful.
Phil is just great - a really lovely bloke and nothing is too much trouble. Always had time to talk and answer any questions.
I think I left a bit of me at this site - we had the most amazing stay and a lot of that was down to Phil. Thank you

We stayed on the campsite with our campervan for one night in Match 2025. Phil was so helpful and friendly. We were the only guests as it was out of season. Fantastic view over the cliff, he came to tell us about northern lights and lent us a corkscrew when ours broke. Definitely recommend to stop here on the NC500 if you can.

Phil is a Phenomenally helpful and and friendly guy.
The site has one of the best views in Europe, it really is that staggering of Orkney and The Old Man of Hoy.
They also rescue seal pups.
I would thoroughly recommend.

One of the highlights on our route along the coast. Great place to stay with a camper van. Lovely people and service all around. Hot water just when we needed it.

At the end of December, we had the campsite to ourselves. We stayed for 1 night in our campervan. The friendly owner, Phil, runs an amazing campsite in a very special location. Also, there's a seal pup sanctuary on the site.
100% recommend if you do the NC500 like we did.

Great wee stop off, booked in advance and Phil was extremely helpful. They look after injured seals, so I got to see a couple off them before they are released on Sunday. Keep up the Good work PHIL & TEAM
