I was booked into the Carrbridge Hotel by our production department as I was working on a TV series filming gig in the Aviemore area. This hotel seems popular with plenty of guests staying and several coaches parked up in the rear carpark. The lady on reception was very pleasant and explained things through, I got given Room 419 which is an en-suite that was small, clean and comfortable enough, but the Wi-Fi was terrible, thankfully the TV and kettle worked. Due to my leaving the hotel daily at 6am to be out on location in the mornings, I was missing breakfast, this problem was to be resolved with a packed-lunch made up and left at reception in the mornings. Unfortunately this service only seemed to last for three days before fizzling out, the kitchen staff either forgot about the Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning or these packed-lunches were getting pinched? So, two points lost there for the inconvenience regardless of the bad Wi-Fi and no breakfasts all week. I don?t particularly like doing bad Trip Advisor reviews and this is on the verge of doing just that, so I?ll highlight the positives again, friendly receptionist, clean building, great location and easy to find, my short stay there certainly suited my purpose.

We had a nice evening meal at the restaurant in the hotel as non-residents. Very friendly and efficient service. Food was simple but very tasty. My 9 yo had a children?s portion that was almost as large as a grown ups!

A beautiful hotel situated in a stunning location. A very warm friendly welcome and staff have always been very accommodating of any special requests we have had. Food is excellent - a lovely selection of breakfast items. Evening menu had sufficient choice. All food was very good quality. Room had lovely tasteful decor and was very comfortable and clean. Overall an excellent stay, we will be back!

Carrbridge hotel is in a lovely village with a few shops and local bus service, take your camera. We went on a 5 day coach trip with alfa and on arriving were told they where short staffed and there would not be a porter service. They have several lounges The staff where very helpful and we had a lovely room. It is a self service breakfast and there is one menu to choose from but there a several choices in the evening, several chioices from a drink machine for your hot drinks with meals. . There is a golf course course accross the road.

Just returned from this hotel, the room was a moderate size. On inspection of the bathroom there wasn't a rubber safety mat at the bottom of the bath which was then duly provided. Bit disappointed to find out that due to Brexit and Covid and the difficulty in getting staff to work there that our room would not be cleaned, apart from having bins emptied. There was an electric kettle provided, but only disposable cardboard cups to drink from. Tetley tea bags were provided but an unknown coffee sachet which according to my husband was not the best. On going into the restaurant area, it was evident that because we were part of a coach party, we were assigned the 'poorer' end of the building, with a very limited menu, obviously because of the speed that we had our meals they had been plated up ready to be reheated in a microwave. From our bedroom window at the rear of the '400' corridor, there looked like what could have been a two-storey block of flats with a huge container of white linen. White tablecloths were in a position for the evening meal, some looked quite tatty, whilst in the morning we ate from a table with no table linen, the tables of which looked quite worn and weathered.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location ( there are great forest walks and an adventure centre by) with very friendly staff. Definitely recommend it.

You must remember this is a 3 star hotel and not a 5 star. The staff were very good knowing that they are struggling for staff due to issues beyond there control. Breakfast is help yourself so can get a bit manic but you can't blame the hotel if a group comes down at the same time. Well done to everyone for trying to please everyone.

Nice hotel but if you go on a group booking you get a separate menu to the rest of the clientele and it was dreadful. Breakfast was help yourself. 5mins after the 7.30am start there was hardly any food and the restaurant manager was reluctant to provide more. The bread was straight out of the freezer and either wet or still full of ice crystals. We had 3 room changes before being allocated the one we'd actually booked.

We were on a Newmarket tour of the Highlands. Excellent location brilliant staff who did their best to cope with on one occasion 4 coaches! Hence, the evening meals varied a bit. But om the whole an excellent place to rest your head. An ideal place as a base for the Highlands. We were blessed by brilliant weather.Rooms: A bit small but clean and comfortable.

Location was excellent for walking in this lovely area, however the room was on the small side. The food was excellent and the Staff was helpful so overall 4/5 sounds about right.Rooms: Room was on the small size but based short stay acceptable.

The hotel is quite dated in some areas. We arrived as part of a coach party. The room we were offered was so small we could hardly move round. In fairness when we complained the staff were very helpful and promised to move us the following day, which they did. However the rooms are not good, very dated, only 3 hangers fir a double room and cardboard cups for the tea / coffee definitely dont help. The food was very poor with a limited choice, they certainly dont have a chef. Hot desserts were served up in the old school dessert trays and cold desserts in individual pots all covered in cling film. Such a shame, the hotel has the potential to be improved and is in a lovely little village.

Although the hotel rooms were a little tired the staff were great, food wonderful a fantastic cosy fire in the lounge wonderful local walks. Rooms are cosy furniture was dated but clean and tidy. A nice touch with all the little extras in the room.

Room,.modern and clean. The staff had to deal with very large coach trips and managed very well even though you could see that they were being harassed with petty requests from entitled pensioners. They deserve a medal.Food was decent and considering the numbers they were catering for they did well. The young lads in the bar were a credit as were all the staff. Patient and polite.
