Everyone at the Cairn Hotel has been super lovely and attentive! The location is great, the staff are great, the food was great and so was the ale!
A hidden gem on the edge of the Cairngorms with great pricing, will be absolutely staying here again if I?m ever nearby!

We stayed at the Cairn Hotel as a family of four and absolutely loved our time there. The countryside views were stunning and created a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The staff were warm, friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
The food was a real highlight! The fish and chips were crispy and perfectly cooked, the sirloin steak was tender and juicy, and the steak & ale pie was rich, hearty, and full of flavor. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented.
The hotel is also ideally located, with easy access to the Landmark Forest Theme Park, which was perfect for the kids. Cozy, clean, and welcoming?this place is a hidden gem. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for a single night on my way further north.
Had a small single room in the attic which fitted my needs with a double bed, though it was a little too soft for my preference, and a stand in shower, though the door on it didn't fully close, making it a little cramped. In addition, the handle on the rooms door was busted and made it hard to turn.
However, there was free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water and even a chocolate bar on arrival. TV with great reception and great WiFi.
In the evening I had a nice stuffed chicken breast with roast carrots that was lovingly presented, and a Scottish take on an afogato with honey whisky which really nade the taste incredible.
Breakfast was included in the price and it was a nice typical British and Scottish selection.
Met several members of staff throughout my time there, all of whom were very friendly and helpful, especially the person I assumed was the manager who was able to help me with a few issues.
There is also a Spar just down the road if you need supplies.
Overall, it's a nice place to stay for the price, though I feel the room could have used some light maintenance.

*Arrived for check-in there at the worst time possible: people everywhere at the bar & restaurant...
*Liam received me way above my expectations and give me all needed info.
*The Room is perfectly comfortable with parking very near.
*The restaurant is really really nice, serving typical Scottish food for a price quality ratio unbeated in 3 Scotland visits : Cullen skink, haggis lasagnes & good cheese board
*Service at the restaurant is the same: at the right distance, funny and very professional
*Nice selection of malts at the bar : Balvenie, Macalan, Highland Park, Aardbeg, Laphroaig, etc.
*Breakfast was included in my reservation and was as good as big

Popped into this hotel on 12th April for a bite to eat. We each ordered a cheeseburger and was fantastic. Great service and quality. Highly recommend.

Terrible outdated small room with the view of a skip and they call this deluxe room the only thing that was deluxe was the price!! Several errors with the meal too, no reply to emails either!! I'd avoid at all costs!!
