My friend booked a table for us on line we went in man at the desk said they don't check after 4pm online as they are too busy was very rude to my friend totally unhelpful basically called us liars that we never booked so we left and had a lovely meal with great service somewhere else definitely will NOT be back

We were staying in Carnoustie and nearly everyone we asked said this was the best restaurant in town. Glad we made a reservation. Food was great, staff was very nice and attentive. The other patrons were nice there was a group having a birthday celebration at the next table and they gave us each a piece of birthday cake!

This was my 1st time at the Ganges,wife had been there before and it was her that booked it for me. It was so good,I had been craving an authentic tasting Indian and this delivered on all fronts. The starter was amazing,the staff where 1st class and the price was even better. I will definitely be back soon.

We ate here on Friday 28 March . We ordered chicken and vegetable pakora which promptly arrived in a nice dish with 3 individual spaces for sauces. The sauces themselves seemed to imitate the flag of India, red white and green. The pakora was ok, not the best I?ve eaten but the sauces were a bit of a letdown, each being a little milder than the one before. I think they were mint, raita and unknown, probably a chillie concoction but as I say very mild.
When I go to an Indian restaurant I expect a bit of bite to the meals, so far none.
To compensate I ordered the spicy tikka masala instead of just tikka masala for my main course. I would have ordered the Madras but previous experiences have made me wary of having too much of a good thing.
Anyway, the food arrived including my wife?s chicken Bhuna.
Don?t get me wrong, the food was well prepared and tasted delicious but once again I was underwhelmed with the amount of spicing. My first thought was that this was prepared for European palates.
In my time I?ve eaten some Indian food that almost made you recoil from the heat but were addictive in that you had to go back for more. No such issues here. Mind you I?ve eaten Indian food in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and America since the 1970s and the best I?ve ever had was surprisingly in Majorca.

Been looking for a good Indian for a while after our usual place in Broughty Ferry went badly downhill.
Ordered mix of curries for delivery. Every one was excellent. So many places now everything just tastes the same with bland flavours.
Ganges were all individual but all really nice. We all ended up sharing because they were all so good.
Delivery bang on time. Our new go to place. ??
