After walking from Campbeltown, yes we did, and a little stroll on the beach we headed for the Old Clubhouse for lunch. What a brilliant choice. We were met by two lovely ladies, utterly charming and curious to find out our story.
Two fresh pints of Tennants the menu and a lovely outdoor table. Great start.
I chose the beetroot salad and the Old Tom burger. Dianne had the Fish and Chips. Outstanding. If you are in the area, go here, you will not regret it. As well as the two ladies, Stewart, the driver, is a tremendous bloke, very knowledgeable about the area and very obliging. Bravo ?.

Was here on Sunday and felt we had to come back the following night as well!! Beef flatbread and the Mac n' cheese were both amazing. Will defo go back in future!! Great service, great atmosphere, would recommend to anyone!!

Ordered soup of the day which was supposed to be lentil soup but when it arrived it was coloured water with pepper. Whoever made the soup needs to go a refresher course

Party of 9 ate here on Easter Saturday.
Staff were friendly and quickly accommodated our large party all seated together .
We were told a new chef is in place and if our meals were anything to go by, then the Old Clubhouse will be busy this year .
All the food was terrific, especially the Goan curry and the Old Tom Morris burger.
Desserts were also delicious and prices were reasonable given the quality and generous portion size .
Staff even got some chefs special tablets for our granddaughter which was lovely.
Would highly recommend the Old Clubhouse in Machrihanish.

Right, my experience is purely personal to our visit, as is our opinion of said visit.
We had arrived at the campsite late afternoon. After sorting out our pitch & campervan, we decided to venture into Machrihanish for something to eat & drink as we had been on the road for nearly 5 hours.
We were warmly welcomed into the Old Clubhouse restaurant. Drinks & and menus offered.
We were very hungry & and chose the buffalo chicken / cheese loaded fries.
OMG! We wished we'd ordered to share. They hit the spot, but they were just too much to finish. They were yummy delicious & we couldn't do them justice.
Lovely atmosphere, wonderful staff & great food, with 2 rounds of drinks for under £35.
A great first experience.!
