Went for dinner. Walked down in the pouring rain from the holiday park and it was worth it. Roast was good but the steak pie was even better. No e pint by the fire before heading back out into the rain.

Megan at the bar was extremely accommodating and made for a great last night in Scotland! We came for a few drinks and left with an amazing pub dinner. Will absolutely be back when we?re next up this way.

Absolutely wonder little place we had the best food and the staff were amazing food prices were slightly on the high side but the quality made it worth the while the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The views were amazing to honestly couldn't fault it.Food & drinks: Good variety on the menu and drinks too

We got such a lovely welcome this evening here even though we were half an hour late due to a delayed ferry from Islay. Paul, the waiter, was so friendly and efficient, he sat us down with a menu and drinks and made us feel very welcome. We chose quickly as the kitchen was about to close. Sharing a starter of scallops, (I wished I wasn?t sharing!). They were delicious, fresh and perfectly cooked. We both had the lamb pie for main. The lamb filling was absolutely delicious. A puff pastry top (to me is not a pie) but it was crispy so I was happy. The vegetables were also gorgeous. We shared a Sticky toffee pudding. It was also really good. After a very stressful drive from the ferry terminal to get here in time for last serving of food this was such a fabulous experience. Highly recommend. It?s also in a wonderful position at the head of the loch.

Lovely little village pub which looks like it serves great food. It wasn't open the days of the week we were there for food sadly otherwise we would of tried it. We were just out of season! Staff were very friendly and accommodating . Facilities were clean. Its in a lovely spot to sit in the sun with a couple of drinks and a breath taking view! Would definitely recommend trying this hidden gem out!

Visited for evening meal. Food excellent. Staff very friendly. Menu not big, but should have something for everyone. Location on the shore of Loch Goil is stunning.

Such a lovely inn, with great food, and a warm welcome. We really enjoyed sitting by the window, enjoying the view over the loch. It?s a real gem in a reasonable remote part of Scotland, highly recommended.

We turned up pretty late (19:45) after a day out in the mountains ravenous and with a thirst for beer. The Goil Inn were so friendly and welcoming and the food and beer was great! The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommended!

I always review based on price vs quality vs expectation, and hope to give well balanced comments. Lovely location next to the Loch and friendly staff when we stopped for lunch (Saturday, no booking required just walked in). Dog friendly so massive plus and waiter even asked immediately if we needed a bowl of water for our elderly greyhound as she was panting. Pleasant surroundings nicely decorated bar and quick service. We were just after a quick bite so opted for three the same : beer battered fish and chips. Meals arrived quickly in less than ten minutes and looked good. Good points: fish was fresh and batter was crispy. Tatar sauce tasty. Bad points: chips were frozen French fries rather than chunky hand cut (as I would typically expect in a rural country pub) , and a small tub of mushy peas that actually tasted like a blended tin of garden peas. I don?t remember if menus said it came with mushy peas but really would expect garden peas or salad (even frozen garden peas are the norm and very acceptable). Good portion size of fish, overall though not sure justified £15.50 price considering the aforementioned disappointing other items on the plate. Total bill was just under £50 for three people for lunch, OK but verging on the high side for a lunch menu.

Amazing tomahawk, we stopped in for a light bite and ended up having the most perfectly cooked steak ever. Staff couldn't do enough to help and the food was top notch. Perfect. A true hidden gem. Thank you ?
