We stayed in the cosy wee cottage, which was utterly lovely, went for drinks only the first night and for a meal and more drinks the second. The pub is do welcoming and friendly, great choice of drinks, fabulous decor, dog friendly, brilliant food.

Another great meal at the horseshoe, recommend to anyone looking for a nice bite to eat at a reasonable price, kebab and burgers are excellent and the staff are friendly and efficient. A wee bit cold, but chuck a cardi on before you go and you will be fine. Lovely dim lights in the middle seating area, much nicer than bright spot lights of the bar. Best place for a pub meal near Lochgilphead

Great pub with rooms. When we arrived Paul showed us round, they were not fully booked so we chose our room. Head Chef Gemma was in the bar briefing the waiting staff on the specials. I asked her what she rated as one of her best dishes?. She replied lamb kofta. I had it and it was great. Also had a wonderful chocolate and coconut tart. Room great. Beer great. Food brilliant! Go there.

Such a great find. Delicious food, delightful staff and we had a really lovely evening. The modules were really fat and juicy, the mackerel pate delicate and light. The tagliatelle was gorgeous with a scrumptious sauce and the tablet ice cream was to die for

Terrific country Inn, so pleasing to see that there are still some available. Great welcome from both of the owners, buzzing bar filled with locals having drinks so warm atmosphere from the start. Drinks were well presented and a decent price which was also pleasing. Serving staff were cheerful and full of banter so made us feel like friends rather than patrons. The food was of an excellent standard and well priced, lots of gluten free options, everything piping hot and full of taste. We visited two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, thanks Horseshoe Inn.

This place was recommended to me by a friend who saw it on a TV show. I was very disappointed , it was noisy, cold and not good value for money it was overpriced. I didn't book but got a table for 3 but had to wait for about 40 minutes to get my order taken. The barman ? I think was called Paul was verging on rude to me when I asked about the delay. Food was very average price was a bit OTT. And the noise was pretty bad , including constant laughing and swearing from other customers the staff did nothing about it. If you are looking for a nice cosy pub for some food don't here.
