First visit here and definitely won?t be the last. The food was fantastic, staff attentive and friendly, and the prices are really reasonable for the standard.
I can?t believe a place of this quality is on my doorstep and yet I?ve not visited before.

I'm just visiting Scotland and the UK for a few weeks but my rankings so far are Shakespeare's Globe followed by The Ship in Kinghorn and it's very close. I could honestly write a short story on my experiences there but nobody will read that. Instead I will say that it is the best service that I've had. I don't mean in the UK, I don't mean recently.. I mean the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Wonderful, wonderful people running a lovely shop in a magical place. I can't recommend it enough. Go here. This is the place that you've been looking for. Get some Lagavulin and don't skip on desert. The sticky toffee pudding, shortbread and cheesecake are all fantastic. Enjoy!

was here tonight for a birthday dinner, food was delicious and the service was amazing, made you feel so welcome. the decor is beautiful and has a special feel about it. good value with quality. So lucky to have this in Fife.

We were at the Kinghorn Gala afternoon tea to celebrate the crowning of this year?s Queen .Rowan & her team put on the most exquisitely presented event for everybody .
The setting was perfection , the food was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate & Rowan & the team couldn?t have been more attentive , helpful , friendly or kind .
They absolutely knocked it out the park !

Splendid night for Neil?s birthday. Friendly, professional and very knowledgable staff. The food was gorgeous from starters to desserts. Wine list good with excellent recommendations.

Underwhelmed and disappointed. Was just OK. Not as good as we expected it to be. Also as restaurant was quiet we were in and out within 80 mins. And an over £80 bil including tip.

We had a lovely meal in here tonight.i had the chicken which was perfectly cooked with dalphinoise potatoes and mushrooms so tasty and my partner had the fish in beer batter and chips which were excellent also. We then had desserts the brulee and the sticky toffee pudding which were both excellent . The service was excellent and a lovely atmosphere . Well done ship restaurant and compliments to your chef . We will definitely be back .5 stars ?

Was there this afternoon.
The service was great.
The soup was delicious as was the sticky toffee pudding.
However I opted for the Sunday Roast. It was disgusting. The meat was a lump of grizzle & fat. What meat I could find was chewy & tasteless. The vegetables were hard.
( I like my veg. Al dente).
The roast potatoes were hard & tough as tho heated in a microwave & the Yorkshire was burnt. I was being polite & didnt want to make a fuss. I should have sent it back immediately. Much to my regret. I handed back a plate which patently showed the lumps of sinewy, tough fat. Told the waitress that?s why I?d left it. She did say sorry but??

Celebrated a big 0 birthday at the ship with family and friends on 30th August. I was blown away with the private room which was decorated tastefully. The food choices were extensive and the food was delicious. Special mention to Rowan who went all out to ensure that the evening went without a hitch and that all our needs were met. Would highly recommend for a special event or any other occasion.
