By far the worst garage I have ever used they have had my vehicle for over 3 months for a simple repair have been promised updates which they haven?t done everytime I have called them they promised it will be ready by end of the following week when that time comes I call them andThe say it?s going to be an another week.

I initially had some problems with the repairs carried out by EW to my car, in terms of time taken and then the quality of the repairs. However, once the new manager, Cameron, got involved everything was quickly resolved to my satisfaction.

I?ve had my vehicle repaired here, as it was the recommended repair centre by the manufacturer. Other than taking a very unreasonable time (over 5 weeks, based on an initial estimate of a week) they failed to install a mud flap during the repair and communication has been spotty at best. I?ve been trying to rectify the issue for over a month now and have only been stonewalled.Although the repair quality seems to be Ok, customer service is not what one would expect and would highly recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere.

My car went in 6 weeks ago from time of writing after VERY MINOR damage caused to the bumper by someone when my car was parked and unattended. I am still no closer in getting the car back.I have been phoning regularly for updates however am always given the same excuses- new members of staff, I.T issues or the guy in charge of the body shop has just left his desk. I have also been told on a couple of occasions someone will phone me back in relation to my chaser call which never materialised.The 3 working day updates are sporadic at best.For 6 weeks now they have been waiting for a bumper grill and a couple of clips apparently due to a delay with Honda. I have also been told for the same amount of time that it has been booked in with a painter however no actual action has been taken as far as I am aware.I have had an expensive courtesy car for the whole time, surely an unnecessary waste of money for all parties involves.I am sure that had I chosen a garage myself to carry out these minor repairs I would have had my car back in a fraction of the time that it has taken so far.If you have any choice in whether your car gets repaired here or not - AVOID. It may be some time until you see it again and it's not worth the frustration of constantly trying to get updates.It also awful service that after all this time in the garage I still have absolutely no idea when my car will be fixed. Will it be another 6 weeks? Or another 6 months? Who knows?!

Avoid avoid avoid!! They seriously let the Eastern Western name down.Nothing short of a terrible experience from start with reception when booking my car in to picking my car up, apart from one lovely maturer lady at reception.Three weeks one day to fix something that they estimated would take three days!! Slight underestimation. Maybe if the initial review on the car took longer than thirty seconds they wouldn?t still be ordering parts three days before pick up or better still order any required parts as you?re stripping the car so they are available for the rebuild, completely incompetent. Not to mention the job sheet shows the car being worked on for a total of 14 hours!!! What on earth have they been doing for three weeks with my car. Nothing, thats what as i traced it on my mini app, wasn?t touched for three days when I dropped it off, just costing my insurance a ridiculous amount for the curtesy car which I am glad i waited four months to get otherwise I?d of been stranded for three weeks without a car due to their incompetence.Picked the car up to a broken windscreen wiper blade which I did not take my car in with as it would of scratched my windscreen while using it and I take serious pride in my car. They removed the bonnet to repair the car & washed it several times (just on pick up alone, I?ll get to that) but given it?s a wear and tear part they just decided they would deny liability for this!!! MY CAR WAS NOT TAKEN IN WITH A BROKEN WINDSCREEN WIPER. Being accused of lying doesn?t sit well with me. Given the car has sat around for three weeks the windscreen wiper will have been stuck to the windscreen and the person who valeted my car will have lifted them to the wash the car and burst them by ripping them off the windscreen!!! Professional to the end.Then theres the glue on my bonnet, my car had a 50% respray on the bonnet. Not sure why as there was no damage to the bonnet (all minimal damage to the lower front end of my car) but none the less tried to pass the two clue finger prints off as bird poo, I might be female but I?m not thick it was not bird poo. It was taken away and washed and scrubbed with what I can only assume was a Brillo pad & was presented to me 10 mins later scratched where they had scrubbed trying to get the ?bird poo? off!I asked reception for the email of address of the manager while my car was taken away yet again and was told by reception you can?t have his email address nor do they have a complaints address, not sure why as I?m sure they are many complaints going by the star rating.Car came back from being polished low and behold it wasn?t bird poo!!!!I had also kept the plastic coating on the touch screen in my car from purchase 18 months ago to stop my nails scratching the screen which they have removed.Finally parting flippant comment from the male dealing with all this who was seriously uninterested and seriously lacked customer service skills was ?nice car?!!!!! Got my car repaired in November 2022, 4 months later today and still chasing them to have the Supaguard reapplied. I only chose the guarage because it is Lexus approved. But I would never recommend them to anyone, I have already complained to Lexus and won't stop until I get my Supaguard!

Fixed a brand new car without putting primer on bodyfiller. Bled through the paint. Lacquer peel to. Will cut any corner they can. This was prior to them delivering it so they hid it from us then denied they would ever do this when it failed. Cowboys

I unfortunately hit a deer in my car (at low speed thankfully) however it was enough to damage the lower front grille on the bumper, it also knocked my adaptive cruise control radar which is situated in the lower centre of the bumper.There was also some ductwork damaged behind the front bumper & three little gouges on the bumper.I had to go through my insurance so that they could authorise the repair work, which they did.I wanted my car to go to Eastern Western Accident Repair centre, as they are the official Volkswagen authorised repair centre.I dropped my car off on the agreed date & was updated every 3-4 days on the progress of the repairs.I collected my car this morning & all I can say is, wow..they have done an absolutely amazing job, you would never know that the car had been repaired. Genuinely superb.Excellent staff, excellent work. If you need to have your car repaired, I absolutely would recommend it getting done here. I don?t understand the one star reviews on here, they repair a lot of expensive vehicles, from Mercedes Benz, Audi, Volkswagen etc & are the official approved manufacturers repairers.Being the official authorised VW repair centre, so only genuine parts are used & as I have said, the workmanship of the repairs is superb.Thank you to all.Services: Body & Trim

All very professional up front, but when they contacted me regarding progress on my car repair, I was nothing short of lied to. After two weeks I was expecting word to collect my car, but then was reluctantly told it had hardly been touched! I can forgive unexpected problems, but to be lied to is completely unforgivable. I welcome this opportunity to warn others.

Got a new Golf and noticed that there was a scuff on trim on the front bumper. Supplying dealer asked me to take it to a local VW body shop and get a price to have it repaired. The quote was over £800 including one new part, removing the bumper, fitting the part and then recalibrating the parking sensors and adaptive cruise. I took the car to another body shop in Broxburn (one I have used a number of times now...) and they polished out the scuff for £40... The price quoted by Eastern / Western was nothing short of a rip off and is consistent with the level of customer service I've experienced from other parts of this group. I'd avoid at all costs and instead find a good local body shop who will do good work at a far more reasonable price. If you're in Broxburn to get a quote from Eastern / Western head a little further into the Industrial Estate and visit Armit's Autos - their work is first class!Service: Body & Trim

I just made an appointment for my new car to fix the passenger side door.Lexus strongly recommended me to go to this company to fix the door. I am seriously looking forward to see their job. For start I would give them 5 stars,because ,I've been in contact with them few times and they are fast and good in estimate.I will be back with the result.Now I am back after about two months with the result.I've got my car back with two days late and I strongly believe they should be more caring about customer time ,specially when customer having hire car, BUTresult was amazing .I am very happy.I would give them 5 stars.Services: Painting

My car went in for body repairs on November 2nd 2021 and I still have not got my car back and this is December 3rd 2021. I have had to chase them all the time and have had conflicting statements about why there is a delay. They never call back when they say they would and they do not have a complaints department to register complaints. I would avoid this company as they have no customer service at all, it seems they go out their way to be as awkward as possible.Services: Painting

Great experience at Eastern Western Body shop. Booked my mini in for stripes to be put on and they have made a lovely job. The receptionist were lovely and welcoming and had a great set up in place when it came to covid. Keys were sanitised before handing them over and sanitised when given back. Very reassuring.
