Foolishly I'd read the recent reviews after I ordered so went ahead with a chicken biryani with a garlic nan. To say the food was terrible is an understatement, poor quality rice and a very tasteless, tiny veg side curry. The chicken was dry and some sort of red dust on my nan put me off it. The quality of the nan was just trashy. Also in the bag was some bright red sugary stuff that was also terrible, spiced onions were ok but not the best. I certainly would not recommend this place to anyone.

I'm not sure about the 1-2 star reviews; I do love Indian food and I think this is one of the best I've had. A lot of delicate flavours and good quality food in general. Service was slow but we got there 30 mins before they closed. I would eat here again.

2nd takeaway here and the first was ok and this was no better. If you?ve ever eaten a really good Indian meal you?ll know that this is average. A bit disappointing

Ordered a take away. Terrible, King Prawn Tandoori was fried and dyed, awful. Lamb Rogan Josh bland, rice wet.
Nearly as bad as the Indian in Dornoch.
Avoid. Better buy your own food from Co-Op

As a genuine lover of Indian food, this was by far the worst I?ve ever had.
Everything tasted artificial and overly sweet.
We waited 45 minutes despite having a reservation.
The server was polite though!
Do yourself a favor and eat literally anywhere else.

Food was not good at all, obvious use of way to much foodcoloring. Some curry?s tasted more like milkshakes. Worst indian restaurant Ive ever been.
Service was mediocre, friendly staff and we got some compensation for having to wait 45min despite making a reservation

Sid's Spice is VERY lucky they are the only Indian restaurant for miles. We went here on our holiday just to have something different from the meat and potato food of everywhere else. This was not a good curry at all. A lack of flavour (apart from Peshwari Naan) throughout, my Balti just was not a Balti in any sense of the word and my wife's Tikka Masala was a toxic looking red colour. We are from Southampton and could safely say this would not get anywhere near the top 20 Indian restaurant/takeaways in the city. Just because it is the only curry house, doesn't mean it warrants the rave reviews. You highlanders have low standards if this is deemed great!
I must say the service was excellent throughout and the young servers are very polite and helpful.

Probably the best Indian food I?ve ever tasted. The Spice Milly Jilly is an absolutely superb dish. Excellent service from the owners son Mihad. Cannot recommend highly enough, not to be missed. Thank you for the great food.

Would highly recommend to pre-book. The food and service is excellent. The facilities and main restaurant are both spotless. Very reasonably priced.

We were a party of 4, and all thought the food was excellent, the service was attentive and respectful without being overbearing, the atmosphere was relaxing and all in all we had a most memorable experience. Thank you.

What an amazing find in such a lovely location. Lovely decor and a very welcoming atmosphere.
The food was amazing and the service, from our incredibly professional and personable 14 year old waiter, was first class.
