Really nice hotel; with comfortable rooms and a great dining room. The staff we encountered were excellent, especially Linda who oversaw the front of house, the dining room and ... the whole hotel! We will be back.

My three-night stay at the Royal Marine Hotel was nothing short of exceptional, and I can?t recommend this gem highly enough! From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the perfect blend of elegance and warmth that defines this hotel. The experience went beyond my expectations, making it a truly memorable getaway.
The staff ( Linda and Billy in particular) were outstanding?friendly, professional, and always ready to go the extra mile to ensure my comfort. Their genuine hospitality made me feel right at home, and their attention to detail was impeccable. The rooms were beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable, offering a serene retreat after a day of exploring.
The facilities, from the inviting lobby to the well-maintained amenities, were top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the tranquil ambiance throughout the hotel, which perfectly balanced luxury with a welcoming, relaxed vibe. The dining experience at The Curing Yard was a highlight in itself (as I?ve mentioned elsewhere!), but the entire hotel experience was seamless and delightful.
Every aspect of my stay, from the warm welcome to the thoughtful touches, made my three nights at the Royal Marine Hotel truly special. I left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to my next visit. If you?re seeking a place that combines comfort, style, and exceptional service, this is the hotel for you. A fantastic hotel where we just spent a few days. We were lucky enough to get a large room and it was lovely. The food is good with a reasonable selection, of your only staying for a day out two or would be great we stayed longer so a bit of reporting crept in, or maybe I am too choosy! The bar is great and cosy with a good selection of beers and other drinks and I would recommend it to anyone. The staff excelled themselves as well so absolutely deserve all the praise I can give them.

Had a one night stay here on the way to Orkney from down south. Lovely room and food at dinner and breakfast was very nice. Having a piper outside our room window was an added and unexpected bonus.
We took a walk on the beach before dinner, which was a delight; open sands and almost no-one else in sight.

Room was great, bathroom a little tight. Breakfast great. However, evening meal, although good quality, wasn't as good value as I would have liked.

Great little hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was neat, tidy and clean. Shower cubicle was a little on the small side. Dinner was enjoyable food and service perfect. Breakfast was also perfect. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Generous main course portions & starters/desserts were excellent - nicely presented & delicious. Service is relaxed but good from lovely staff - couldn't have been more helpful with dairy free guest & solutions. Very minor niggles re no stock of alcohol free beers & some soft drinks...and the gents toilets - signposting (lack of) & clearly not part of the refurb to date. Hotel in general has been very tastefully refurbed.

A really lovely hotel tucked away by the river, close to the beach. Cosy, inviting and homely. Great decor throughout, welcoming fire in the snug. Fabulous team of dedicated staff who are friendly, kind animal lovers. Linda really made our stay special. We felt very welcome with our old Jack Russell doggy companion.

I had a fantastic stay at the Royal Marine Hotel in Brora. The hotel is beautiful and welcoming, with spotless, comfortable rooms and a perfect blend of tradition and modern comfort. The staff were friendly, and the food was exceptional, especially the locally sourced dishes.
The location is ideal for exploring the Highlands, with stunning scenery, a nearby beach, and a great golf course. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it
