Absolutely shocking tonight .
Has this place changed hands ? New chef ?
We've used this takeaway for years on and off the past few months they've been our go to however the past month it's been diabolical.
We ordered food for a takeaway a week ago for our neice looking after our house thinking it will be okay she's 15 ....she didn't eat the pizza said it was edible and we were shocked .
Tonight I ordered for a collection ..chicken tikka masala , rice and nan.
Ordered a 10 inch chicken calzone and chips .
Got home and my partner was shocked said taste that and I like salt however it was unreal the salt content was off the scale !! Chips tasted sour like the oil was old also the calzone dough to my disgust was still raw in the middle I picked through it.
Called and the poor lass answered the phone was struggling to understand me so I asked to speak with someone else she put me onto the chef ....my God I explained, he was confrontational said it was his best seller , my reply not tonight have you tasted it ..he's lucky I hadn't even opened my calzone box at this point. He said we can bring out something but will ne over an hour I hung up...he is unaware of the state of my calzone or chips.
Also the day my my niece had food delivered they unknowingly didn't realise we went also for a carry out on way to our show and was told the dough wasn't even made yet ? We ordered a pizza for her prior say 15 mins to our attendance so I'm unsure of what is actually going on in this place now .

Disgusting food tonight and prior to that food was missing from order that we let go considering we are 20mins drive away

This is a lovely restaurant, it always seems to be quiet when we pick up takeaway from here, so we decided to come for a proper meal! Our waitress was lovely and very friendly, and the prices are reasonable too. Will definitely be coming back.

The food was delicious. Service good. Two young folk working who were trying very hard to get it all right. Well done to them. The boss Mel was very professional and friendly. The decor is dated, and the restaurant lacks atmosphere. However we enjoyed our meal. Portions were large and hot. Would definitely go back.

The most important thing first: the food was great.
We ate there with 8 people on a Saturday (as the only people in the restaurant) and ordered 5 starters and 8 main courses.
They probably had a lot to do with take-away orders, but waiting 50 minutes for the starters and then another 39 minutes for the main course wasn't possible. Easily deducted 3 stars for that. Only the hard-working service and the really tasty food led to the 3-star rating.

Food has always been fantastic and tasty.We waited over 2 hours for delivery I called after 1.75 hours and was told the food had just left this was fine it was a Friday and could have been busy.I called again after 2 hours to be told the food was on my doorstep and they had tried calling but no answer. It turns out the number was an old number which I hadn't realised. I asked why they didn't ring the doorbell to be told there wasn't one! There very much is one and it works. I was told I was speaking with the delivery driver who was very argumentative and didn't want to listen to my point that there didn't seem to be much effort to knock the door or actuallyuse the bell, our dog would soon tell us someone there yet she never barked once.I asked to speak with the manager as the driver didn't want to listen and the man on the phone said I am the manager and I delivered the food.Instead I was told the food had been delivered on time 45 mins after ordering and it was my fault the number was wrong They didn't have time to wait for me to answer the door, they were busy."What do you want" was the reply "hot food would be nice" as the food thats there has been sitting on my doorstep for over 1 hour.We didn't mind the wait but after 2 hours was getting excessive. What I do mind is calling to be told that the food had just left then calling back to be told that when I first called my food had been sitting outside for over an hour! How could I not have been told this information on my first call.All I would have liked from the driver/manager was an apology for the mix up in information given during my first call and an explanation of what happened rather than being argumentative right from the off.Customer service is obviously not a concern for the restaurant instead made feel we were in the wrong.I was eventually offered a free pizza next time we ordered, I explained after our conversation why would we order from them again to which he replied ok bye then!Such a shame as food has always been so good but let down by poor customer service and management.
