Fri 30/5/25 MY TRUTHFUL REVIEW
I parked round the back & went in the back door which was open & the area round about there wasn't very pleasant looking.
After reading many good reviews I went to check them out. I noticed a picture on a review of a burnt half slice of toast & thought it was a one off but it wasn't as you all can see. PS I forgot to add that my beans were cold.
Many folks mentioned that their lentil soup was really very good. Well I must state that it was v.g. & it was also
good that I had that lovely soft slice of white bread ? that I could break up & put in to my LUKE WARM soup to thicken it up.
My £6 breakfast was served up on a cold plate ?? & no reviewers mentioned that. It's nice to have it put onto a warm or hot ? plate.
SO - what were the high points.
THE PRICE - very cheep.
THE EGG -? not frizzled up.
THE LATTE - nice & strong.

First time in .went in with my sister Gillian.i ehad big breakfast and pot of tea .tableilservice she had capuchino and doubler roll. Everything was freshly cooked fried eggs were perfect .I will be back

Been coming here from the begining, my favorite go to cafe, food is always 10/10, sitting in or taking away always 5 stars, service is always brilliant??

visited twice so far, but will defo go again. The order was delish! My pal got chilli beef nachos, I tried them and they were superb!! Sadly no sour cream on them tho ?Very quick service, can't wait to try some other

Had the chicken and rice soup which is a favourite of mine at The Retro also the hot chocolate with all the trimmings is soooo good!

My colleagues and I have filled rolls from Cafe Retro on a weekly basis, and have done for many months. The food (both in terms of flavour and value) and service is always excellent.

Service take to long then thay only got have off our oder and have pot off tee when I ask she took the tea pot and whent do to something else had to say what about the tea I would nor not recommend little
