Only had minor hiccups here. Evryone is friendly and happy to help. Best surgery experience so far.Edit - I've been trying to get an appointment for 3 days here. Same day appointments are a joke. It's like a competition as to who can get there first. Am probably going to move surgeries. I've had enough of this.

The reception at this GP is very nice. The ladies always help, for which I thank them very much. The doctors also try to help as best as they can. Thank you for being here?

Why do they do everything possible in reception not to let you see a doctor. They do everything possible to fob you off. If I didn?t need to see a doctor I would not be calling you. Phone back the next day? etc? They ask you a million questions and with all due respect the receptionist is not the doctor.Their job is to make appointments.I find it shocking I have to basically beg to see someone.Guys some of us never go to a doctor. The day we collapse and have found to have had something seriously wrong with us I would put the blame on these people for not listening.

Whilst everyone was friendly I have had a few serious problems here. The least dangerous being that I had been preliminarily diagnosed with a bladder infection and having taken a week's worth of antibiotics, only to find out at my new GP that my "bladder infection" was actually ruled out by a lab at the time, but no one at Strathmore thought about following it up or getting in touch to stop me taking the antibiotics and actually diagnose what was wrong with me.

When I recently had a nasty ear infection with potentially serious scalp cellulitis the receptionist refused to give me an appointment that day or the next and would not even agree to my request to let the doctor come to the front desk to see me briefly. I eventually went to the cottage hospital and was seen by a senior nurse. She was absolutely amazed that I had been turned away from the surgery. and promised to include this in her report.I understand that receptionists are programmed to 'save' the GPs' time but they should also have sufficient training to spot an emergency.

Fantastic surgery, everyone very professional and efficient, one of the best surgeries I have been enrolled with for many years.
