Beautiful location with quiet pastures all around. We stayed at the stables and it has a separate parking lot next to the room, the room was clean and spacious. Very close to the Braur falls and Braur shopping mall.Highly recommended if you are looking to have a quiet break.Their whiskey collection is a highlight of my trip. Dinner at the Organgery Restaurant can get crowded so it is important to book early.

Five stars do not do The Old Manse justice. It really is a piece of heaven with sumptuous facilities, outstanding service and luxurious rooms. The welcoming staff create such a relaxing atmosphere in amongst the gorgeous interiors. The food is sublime! All beautifully presented and the passion of the chef is clearly shown. We left Scotland with so much emotion of not wanting to leave this wonderful place, so will definitely be returning. Anne, we are in awe of everything you have created, superstar service!Rooms: Luxurious!Nearby activities: Blair Athol Distillery was a great way to spend the afternoon.House of Bruar is a must.Definitely see Blair Castle and the grounds.Walkability: Beautiful walks nearby, especially to Bruar Falls and the shop.Food & drinks: Everything was beautifully delicious!Great Pinot noir and loved the Harris Gin.

I only stayed one night, but wish I stayed longer... the grounds are beautiful, the room was comfortable and very well furnished/designed, plus the icing on the cake was the human-touch and service... Both owner Anna and Manager Emma chatted to me about all things Scottish and really made me feel comfortable and at home in this gem of a hotel in a superb location. I will 100% be staying here again and look forward to introducing others to The Old Manse!

Summer is ending and I am getting ready to go back to work as a teacher but before that happens I need to share that this has been the best summer ever. The highlight for me and my family was going to Scotland with some of our closest friends. The Old Manse of Blair made our Scotland experience so special. The accommodations were comfortable and inviting. The drawing room was a great gathering place for families due to the fire in the hearth and soft comfy sofas and chairs. The staff was very attentive and made sure that our families needs were met. The meals were high end, beautifully prepared, and delicious. The grounds were beautiful and located near a variety of walking paths to the falls and Blair Castle. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you Anne and Archie for such a wonderful experience that my family will never forget.Rooms: Extremely comfortable beds, bedding, and pillows. Provided snacks, teapot, teas, drinking water, iron, ironing board, and blow dryer. The bathroom had a huge walk in shower with an enormous electric towel warmer. The rooms were very neat and clean along with all the other areas of the manor.Nearby activities: House of BruarBlair CastleArchie and Anne drive us into Pitlochry for shopping, dining and a distillery tour at Blair Athol.Walkability: Very close to many walking paths. There were maps on a building showing guests all the different paths and local site seeing places (Blair Castle, water falls, House of Bruar).Food & drinks: The food was beautifully presented on our plates, extraordinary tasting and the service was superb. Our bartender (Rory) made excellent cocktails and was very attentive to the guests needs.

The most idealistic, most postcard like hotel I?ve been to in my life. The staff are like no other. We were met by the general manager Andy who could not do more to make us welcome. The owners are also very involved. Archie could have been mistaken for just another member of the team. I didn?t catch the name of the girl who served dinner with Andy, was very sweet and looked after us very well. The food was outstanding and locally sourced. Was great to see sustainability across the site, from the glass bottles of water, to the refill toiletries. The tastefully decorated rooms and public spaces are very high end. Breakfast is always a big thing for us, I thought a huge selection for such a small property was great. The senior chap on breakfast really made our morning. So jovial and friendly, clearly a great team. Only small demerit was when we arrived we pressed the bell as the note stated and the member of the team who was at the big table turned and shrugged his shoulders. However did not dampen our stay and the only way was up. We will be staying here on our next trip to Scotland and recommending to all our friends. Well done.

What a fantastic venue and amazing rooms with top staff. We stayed in the bothy with my daughter and it was just divine. Andi and his team, particularly Emma and Brian on breakfast were just fantastic from start to finish. Food is to die for! Can?t rate highly enough. Can?t wait to come back.

This is not a 5 star hotel at allFirstly, the 2 bedroom image shown on their website is not the actual room itself. The rooms are much smaller and the one room doesn?t even have space for a suitcase. There is 1 tiny closet the holes 6 hangers which is to be shared for 2 bedrooms. There is no decor on the walls and the fabrics are cheap with see through drapery in the morning. The mattresses are old and warpedRoom was not clean, had stainsWe had to carry our suitcases up a flight of stairs to our roomThe window wouldn?t close so we had to keep it open all night which was freezing and bugs coming in and the heater in our bedroom didn?t work. The morning we were awoken by the kitchen noise directly underneath us.We arrived that night and left the next morning and checked in to a different hotelWe expressed our concerns via email and never received a response.

Old Manse proprietors Anne and Archie and their team recently provided our group of friends with the most wonderful experience and a lifetime of memories.Upon arrival, we were greeted with a very warm welcome by Anne, Archie, GM Andi and their staff most of whom introduced themselves. Their attention to detail was immediately apparent with the gardens, rooms and property in exquisite condition. The rooms have all been recently renovated with comfortable beds, luxurious bathrooms and fittings. There are walking/running paths all over, with a scenic 2 mile path to Blair Castle and a short .7 mi to House of Bruar shops with Bruar Falls hike right behind the shops. We also took advantage of nearby mountain biking, ziplining and bungee jumping. But the highlight of our stay was a Highland Games event that Anne and her team helped coordinate right on the grounds with fun and friendly competition, pipes and a falconry demonstration (check out their IG page).Due to our group size breakfasts were buffet style. We had 2 dinners in the Orangery Restaurant and a BBQ outdoors and all meals were great. Hats off to chef Tom, Tony, Brian and the whole kitchen.Rory and Lucca are great mixologists and allowed us extra time for fellowship a little beyond their typical closing time.Uber and cab service isn't reliable in the area so we got a couple of rental cars. With the strict DUI laws in Scotland (.05% bac), it's not suggested you drive even after 1 drink esp. if you don't normally drive on the left. For an additional charge and prearranged times, Anne, Archie and Andi provided transportation to the group to and from Pitlochry which gave everyone good peace of mind.During our 4 day stay we were absolutely blown away by the level of service, professionalism and fun that was provided. The team that is currently in place is world class from the owners Anne and Archie to GM Andi and all staff. In this tough hiring environment especially in a less populated area, the Old Manse has really nailed it with a team that works well together and has fun while doing it.Whether it's a quiet weekend getaway for a couple or a reunion group of 40, the Old Manse is a great place for your Highland stay.

We stayed several days at the Olde Manse of Blair with a group of friends and families and had an experience we will never forget. The Manse is a beautifully maintained property surrounded by the lush hills and trails of the Scottish Highlands. If you like to hike you are a short distance from a castle as well as the breathtaking Bruar Falls. The charming town of Pitlochry is a short car ride away and day trips can be made to Loch Ness, St Andrews and Balmoral Castle. The Manse bedrooms, dining, and conversation areas are both elegant and comfortable. We had a large group and the dining experience was always fantastic, from delicious breakfasts to wonderfully prepared dinners - I loved the lamb chops!Beyond all these positives, what really stood out during our stay was the exceptional service and friendly atmosphere that Anne and Archie have created at the Olde Manse of Blair. The staff was exceptional with our large group; attentive, flexible and courteous at all times of day. Weeks after returning home, my family is still smiling about our time at the Olde Manse of Blair!

Anne and the team are absolutely incredible. We were blown away by their warm and welcoming hospitality. Anne went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, she?s an amazing host/owner. The food was stunning, highly recommend dining in. Our room was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. They also have the cutest cows! Will definitely be back on our next visit to Scotland!

We loved our stay! Anne and staff were absolutely incredible. We stayed in the Georgian suite and it was a real treat - gorgeous setup and our own fireplace. The food at the restaurant was also outstanding. Location of the hotel was perfect - it was rural but not so far away from everything. Lots to explore in the area.I can?t recommend it enough (I?ve already recommended it to friends and family!). Can?t wait to be back!!

Lovely country hotel however lacked any atmosphere. It is a fancy restaurant that has room despite the very high accommodation prices. We were one of two couples staying in June. The hotel and restaurant lacked any atmosphere which was disappointing. I feel the +£300 per night rate doesn?t help getting people to book.Clearly running a very lean system from a staff point of view. Although friendly, the same person was on reception, serving food and cleaning rooms in the morning!! A high turnover of staff also gave the impression of bad working atmosphere. Cleaning of rooms was very poor - bins not emptied, toilet not cleaned, bathroom sink not wiped clean, spilt coffee at coffee machine not wiped up, beds poorly made, coffee and snacks not replaced, no bottles of water in the room.We ate in the restaurant - set menu was very nice however at £140 I?d expect this given the location of the restaurant. Breakfast a la carte was nice but buffet very limited and lean.Overall I think it?s very overpriced and they try cut costs to give the impression of premium service. Given the fact we spent +£800 for two nights I?d say you could find much better bang for your buckFor context, this is my first ever review, strongly felt the need to report my experiences. If luxury is what you?re looking for, this is not it. Overpriced and underwhelmingRooms: Small and not cleanedFood & drinks: Too priceyNoteworthy details: Nice house and gardens

We have just completed a trip to Scotland from our home in East Yorkshire, visiting Warwick-on-Eden Carlisle, Cumbrae, Largs, Bute, then heading up to Aviemore. After having a disappointing experience in a hotel on Bute, we looked online for a more luxurious hotel and discovered The Old Manse of Blair. We arrived there to a very warm reception from owners Angus and his wife Anne. We were booked into one of the lodges, which are purpose built, new accommodation set back into the grounds of the Old Manse. They are stylishly decorated with huge beds, large showers, private garden & seating areas and all mod cons you would wish for.Angus showed us round with pride. The couple have renovated the Old Manse from dereliction to its glorious present state, and it is truly delightful. We liked it so much that even before our cases were out of the car, we knew it would be somewhere we'd love and decided to book a 2nd night's stay.We were kindly upgraded to a beautiful, larger suite in the Manse, which had an outstanding bathroom with a huge slipper bath and enormous separate shower. Our super-king bed had a luxury mattress affording a splendid sleep, and our suite had a large seating area.We had a few drinks on the terrace and our evening meal in the hotel restaurant. We would definitely recommend a meal here. The food is EXCELLENT. Breakfast is also EXCELLENT. I'm a fan of Eggs Florentine, which happily is on their breakfast menu. I'm frequently disappointed with overcooked egg yolks. Not at The Old Manse. Cooked to perfection.Nothing is too much trouble to the staff here. Staff Andy & Rory and owners Angus & Anne are very attentive to your every need, even offered to drive us to the nearby town of Pitlochry should we want to dine out on our 2nd night. Taxis are not always available. We went walking up the Falls of Bruar and into the Cairngorms during our stay. The location of the Old Manse is perfect if you just want to get away from city hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in nature. It's so good to return to this place at the end of the day, to relax on the terrace with a G&T, watching the Highland cattle grazing in the fields.I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere where the welcome and attention to detail has been so robust. We felt very well looked after, and it was such a perfect stay. So much so that we will be returning in October.Once you find a little piece of Heaven, you need to re-visit.Thank you Angus, Anne, Andy, Rory, and all the behind-the-scenes staff for making our stay incredible.Bel & Mark x
