We have just moved to Dargavel and Scoff & Patter is definitely going to be a favourite for us! The staff were all lovely. We had an amazing breakfast and left with some milkshakes. 10/10.

Waited 20mins at door before being acknowledged. Once got a table waited 15 mins for our order to be taken of two soups and a toastie . After 30 mins further wait I complained to an older waitress who was defensive, rude and dismissive quoting ?it?s school holidays ! Food when it eventually came was average but at least a young lady who brought it was apologetic and took price of one coffee off the bill . Service was very poor and we won?t be back . How a company deals with customer complaints is important and I see by other reviews slow service is an ongoing issue

Came here after friends recommending and seeing scoff and patter on instagram and liking the look of it!
The iced coffee was really nice and our food was good quality and fresh too. The time we came at was busy and staff were all working hard . We were served by Pauline who was lovely and a friendly face . During our visit Pauline was talking to us and when she left our table she was shouted at by another member of staff telling her to stop talking to customers in an angry manner , this was audible for most customers to hear who were sitting near the bar area. We were so disappointed to hear staff being spoken to like this especially when she was so lovely to us and it made us feel awkward . Our experience would have been good aside from this incident .

Brilliant wee place. Very relaxed atmosphere, great breakfast (refuse to call it brunch) and cakes. One of the best coffees I've had in ages too. Free parking outside too.

Lovely food, nice environment. Hot take away but plates coming out the kitchen looked amazing. Will be back to sit in for breakfast next time. Staff all friendly.

I was in today with my 2 friends 24/5/2025. All 3 of us were not impressed atall.2 of us has French toast and bacon with maple syrup. Was ok then we all had cake and coffees and juice, cakes were tasteless and were not moist, 1of my friends baked cakes for a living she ever enjoyed and sent it back. It certainly wasn?t Cheapso should have been better I will not be back

Atmosphere: Was really busy and there's a lot of young kids screeching and crying, music was not loud enough to hear what the songs were but just loud enough for the beat to give you a headache after 10 mins.
Food: Had the big breakfast which was ok but the potato scone could not be cut with the knife nor could I bite through it.
Service: Girls are pleasant and seen to be extremely busy and hard working, coffee was on the table 5 mins after ordering but the food took another 25 mins to come out. Coffee was cold before i ate.
Only came here as it was next to train station and i was getting picked up from there, not much else in the area. Will see how it is next time I'm passing.
