We contacted SC Designs Ayr in December 2024 after looking at a range of other local independents and national kitchen companies. Getting booked in for a home survey and estimate was quick and easy, which was ideal as we?d just moved into our new home the year before.
Scott arrived and immediately got stuck in. As we talked through our ideas and vision, he was already sketching out the design ? right there in our own kitchen. No showroom trips, no endless meetings. Within 45 minutes we had a full design, a 3D render of how it would look, and a clear, transparent quote in front of us. Everything was included, right down to branded appliances such as the induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and extractor.
When it came to installation, we were told there was only one week slot left in January ? and that became our installation date. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that SC Designs handled everything: removing and responsibly disposing of the old kitchen, as well as all the plastering, plumbing, electrics, tiling, and fitting of the new one. It was a huge relief not to have to juggle multiple contractors, and they managed the whole process seamlessly.
Throughout the job, the installation manager James kept us up to date and was always approachable and professional. No question felt like a silly one, and he and the team were kind, patient, and focused on delivering a perfect finish (despite our little dog barking away in the background!).
The whole experience was excellent ? the value matched the cost, the service was smooth, and the aftercare has been spot on too. We genuinely couldn?t fault it.

From our first visit to your showroom, to our completed bathroom and toilet, you have been there to help and advise us with choices and we are extremely pleased with the finished rooms.
Gemma gave us everything we wanted in her designs and was always quick to reply to any queries. Her advice on material choices was invaluable. It was also reassuring to see her on site.
Amanda was the voice of calm at what, to me, were stressy moments. However, she took care of everything and there was no need for stress.
Morgan and Reece were a pleasure to have in the house and always kept us up to date.
Ross and Graeme did a great job and we really appreciated James changing his schedule to keep ours on track.
The electrician was so quick, I didn?t even see him, never mind catch a name!
Rubbish was removed promptly which helped to keep the place tidy.
We have been extremely impressed with your company and we will be recommending you to anyone and everyone who asks.

SC Designs fitted our elderly family?s bathroom in Bishopbriggs a few years ago and there have been a catalogue of issues ever since. From multiple leaks as a result of shoddy workmanship, to sawing a 30cm serrated hole in the wall that SC Designs then attempted to hide behind an existing mirror, the cost of repairing their work is now in the thousands. Were SC Designs to apply the same level of effort to their workmanship and aftercare as they did to their sales techniques then they might not have numerous 1 star reviews and dissatisfied customers all over the place. The most troubling aspect of SC Designs, even worse than their cowboy approach to bathroom fitting, is their behaviour towards particularly elderly customers. Demanding final payment for a bathroom that wasn?t even finished and had numerous outstanding issues because quote ?otherwise I won?t be able to pay my contractors their wages? smacks of financial mismanagement and was particularly cowardly to deploy these tactics against customers in their mid 80?s. Anyone who deals with this type of behaviour in business knows that this cowardly approach is never taken towards younger customers who are less vulnerable and are not as easily coerced into paying. I would strongly advise anyone considering SC Designs to think again as you will inevitably end up having to pay thousands of pounds in repairs later on down the line as well as the hassle of getting in touch with Trading Standards and BiKBBI to detail the catalogue of issues with their work.

SC Designs did a beautiful job renovating my bathroom. The quality of their workmanship was evident from the start, and I was very pleased with the final result.
About a year after the renovation, a leak developed from a fitting on the toilet. Once SC Designs became aware, they responded promptly and rectified the issue without hesitation.
It's incredibly reassuring to know they stand by their work and provide excellent aftercare. I highly recommend SC Designs for both their craftsmanship and their commitment to customer service.

Gemma was brilliant with us and provided much needed (and appreciated) guidance and advice during the design, and a huge thank you to Morgan & Calum for a high standard install.

So glad I went to SC Designs , Bishopbriggs for my bathroom. They have a lovely showroom in bishopbriggs with lots of options. The bathroom installation went smoothly and the quality of work was excellent. I would 100% recommend this company. Very upfront and transparent. We had a kitchen replaced by SC Design, based on the fact that 2 members of the family had used this company in the past few years. Their experience was great, and so was ours. Gemma helped with design ideas and colours. Scott came out to finalise the design. The fitting team worked to the time agreed and on budget. One of the kitchen doors had a tiny chip on it (which was noticed at the sign off by staff and not us!), and it was replaced as soon as the new door arrived. The fitting team were brilliant.
They were friendly and did a brilliant job. We were kept fully informed of everything. The finished kitchen is perfect, including being adapted for a wheelchair user when needed. Thanks so much. We would not hesitate to use you again and would happily recommend you.

I have had an amazing experience with SC designs from start to finish. Gemma was very knowledgable and friendly when designing the kitchen, with great ideas on design. The fitting team were excellent, worked very hard and did an exceptional job. We have had 2 bathrooms finished and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

SC Designs was recommended by a friend as I was looking to upgrade my kitchen but didn't really know where to start. The staff were great and took there time showing me different styles from their extensive collection. I am delighted with the end product and they made sure the utilised all of my space. The workman were on time and very professional and tidy. Would recommended this company and you are not sure what your looking for pop In and have a chat with them, They will keep you right.

We ordered a wet room from SC designs and it was fitted at the end of July Firs time we used it we had a floodTurns out the gradient of the floor had not been measured a temporary barrier was installed but it still flooded We were then told that the only way we could have a wet room was to have a step at the door As we are both in our seventies this would have been a trip hazard so we changed to having a shower tray We have been offered no compensation or the difference between a wet room and a shower room S C designs have not answered our e mail which was sent 3weeks ago Automatic reply says they will be back in contact in 72 hours S C designs have an excellent selling team but fall short on their installation which I would say is speedy but shoddy Please be very careful using this company

We would highly recommend SC Designs for their quality materials, fittings and professional workmanship. We had our kitchen and bathroom updated and we were so pleased with the workmanship we asked that they create an extra bathroom downstairs.
We would like to thank Scott and Christine for all their support during the design stage as they afforded us the opportunity to make changes even up to the last minute.
A special mention to Val and James who made sure that the work was carried out to a very high standard and also ensured it was completed within the promised timescale even if it meant working really long days.

As previous customers, we decided to go with SC Design for our renovation and kitchen project due to their superb communication and professionalism. Scott took excellent care of us overseeing the design of our new kitchen and was always on hand to answer questions and make suggestions when we were uncertain about any specifics. Everything was agreed upon, including dates and costings with full transparency. James was in charge of our installation, and he, along with the rest of the team, did a fantastic job. We are delighted with the end result of our project, which was completed on time, on budget, and as described down to the last detail. We had an excellent experience with SC Designs and could not recommend nor thank them enough for the service they provided. We will certainly use them again for any future home renovations we are considering.

I had to get my bathroom done really fast as I had a leak and with a disabled child I needed the bathroom. Went to SC Designs ( as recommended by friend) and they were absolutely amazing. Designed a bathroom to work round my daughter and her disabilities. Nothing was too much for them. The bathroom its self is beautiful ? the units made in the in-house factory as superb and fantastic quality. The fitters who came to do my bathroom where all nice and polite, they kept me upto date with everything that was happening.. Overall I'm very pleased with my bathroom and when the time comes for my kitchen to be done then it will be SC Designs I go to..
