Supposed to be a large Chips n cheese cost about £6-7 and you get one layer of chips complete rip off , missable and unpleasant staff , stay away !

This is a somewhat late review from last year, probably due to still being in shock over the price, it was quite close to closing time and it was pretty much what have you got left, so I was told they could do me smoked sausage and chips, I watched the guy cut a decent sized sausage in half and then two scoops of chips, and that was my meal, I?m pretty sure they could of done me a bigger portion but when he put the order in the till and it came to £6.50 for what was basically a small kids portion I was gobsmacked, don?t get me wrong it wasn?t bad at all taste wise but if your telling me that was worth the money then I?ll be dammed, especially when I?ve paid less for bigger portions of the same meal down the south of england

Stopped off on way back to Edinburgh, ordered fish and chips absolutely superb quality fish 2 big halves of white flaky haddock in a crispy batter cost £10.45 but fresh fish is expensive nowadays big portions worth every penny will definitely return.

Heard good things about this takeaway and decided to give it a try. Both of us had fish suppers, one being a special and both fish were very nice, unfortunately the chips were best described as reheats which were mostly left in the tray. On this visit we will not be going back anytime soon

The Townhead fish and chip shop came recommended - but we were bitterly disappointed! Both the fish and chips were dry and tasteless - they had clearly been left for hours on the hotplate - not the lovely fresh food we were expecting. Plus no gravy, what!!

Such a disappointment, was looking forward to revisiting a previous fave. Won?t be back. Just another fish shop/takeaway run by teenagers who believe that dark brown scampi that could be used as hockey pucks was properly cooked. Refused point blank to refund or prepare others. The scampi inside was shrivelled and brown as well. No other options given. Watery ketchup, more than most. Chips ok for other family members. Was first visit for one family member, his got binned as well. Avoid
