Weird comments from the owner or senior manager when we came in and as we were leaving but the waiters were amazing top service from the kitchen too ?

Meal out with pals a few nights ago.
5 of us.
3 got food together.
One waited probably 3 minutes more for his.
At which point we started eating else everyone would be on cold food.
Last person to get their food just as we were half way through ours.
NOT on. You serve a table together.
One had chicken fajitas they were just onion.
Only went because it would have been convenient. Lived here 10 years, I?ve been in 4 times and I am not going again. Each visit I?ve made has been pretty disappointing, food
I don?t honestly know what people rave about.

Amazing food and great service. We're both vegans and we both ate well with yummy mains and desserts. Drinks are well priced as well. If in the area again we'll definitely be back.

A lovely pub serving traditional food and a wide range of beers. Super friendly and our dog was really comfortable in there. We visited on a Sunday lunch and had the carvery, a good selection of meats and veg and a brilliant gravy.

Very friendly place... Good menu size and a specific lunch menu with cheaper items. Staff were fast and welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu... Requested homemade onion rings and the chef obliged which was really good. There is step free access to the front of the bar where you can eat, but a few steps up to the back seating so beware if you have mobility issues... Recommended to book on busy weekends at lunchtime but there were free tables nearer 2pm... Free WiFi as the area has poor phone signal. Really enjoyable if you're in the area...
