Absolutely brilliant. One of the best indian restaurants I have been to (and the best biriyani for a long time!). Everyone was extremely friendly, took time explaining the dishes, and alternatives taking everyone's tastes into account. We wish we lived closer to visit again sooner! We will be back!

Although we live in Edinburgh where we are surrounded by Indian restaurants, we travel all the way to Biggar to go the the Taj Mahal. The food is consistently excellent, and you also get good sized portions for your money. The ambience is very nice, and the staff couldn`t be more pleasant and helpful, without being imposing. We can`t wait to go back to what has become our new favourite restaurant!

Meal for 9 of us last Saturday including a couple of special food requests and everything was just magnificent . Not only the fabulous choice of food as always, but the service and without ever being rushed too. Not to forget of course the wonderful chilled pints of Kingfisher . Brought good friends up from England and they were just blown away by the whole experience .

Just had a fabulous family meal at the Taj Mahal on the last night of our holiday in the area. The service was the best we've had in a long time, if ever, and the food was delicious. They catered really well for my gluten and dairy free dietry needs, offering a variety of options, including a complimentary coconut naan bread. Make sure you also try the sugared fennel seeds to finish! We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.

Exceptional service and well prepared meals. Impressed that all five main course dishes were served at the same time, with plates that had been warmed. All the dishes were hot, tasty and cooked fresh to order. Well worth a visit.

More than my expectations, and brilliant service and food. I haven't seen such good quality of food or service in Edinburgh with these prices. There is always room for improvement, but it was much more than my expectations.

Amazing food and plenty of it too. Very good waiter service and what was left over was offered to be put in takeaway tubs. The price was good and will call again when back in Scotland. We'll done all at the Taj Mahal.

I would give 10 stars if I could. The service was incredible, the fella in charge bent over backwards to get me a curry, and it was the best tasting curry I have ever had. Will certainly be returning!!
