Handy little general store and post office.Has a good selection of bakery, dairy, vegetables and deli. Should you need to stock up on tinned goods or cereals, this is the place to go.Good selection of wines, spirits and beers to compliment the groceries. Lastly, there are two pumps for fuel outside should you find yourself running low on gas with many unserviced miles ahead of you.It is important to support small businesses like this as one day they may not be there when you need them.

Whilst touring the NC500 with a few friends and family on our motorcycles we thought we would stop here for a drink and some snacks. We like to use local facilities to try and give a small bit back to the community wherever we are in the world.My son was on his first proper motorcycle tour with us and decided to use the fuel pump. He pulled up to the pump and missed a tiny sign regarding going into the shop before using the pump. Anyway he proceeded to use the pump and an angry man pulled up in a Royal Mail van (turns out he owns the shop too) and started aggressively screaming and swearing at my son because he was using the pump with no assistance . He then turned the pumps off and told us to leave. My son apologised and was shaken up by this man?s behaviour. I went into the shop to pay for the fuel and was met by three ladies. Two were lovely and the other carried on with the abuse stating that my son must be stupid. We paid and left, whilst outside a local tells us that this is quite a common occurrence treating tourists with total disrespect and discriminating against them. She was ashamed that this was happening in the village that she was proud of.It was just a mistake that could have so easily been resolved in a nice manor.Horrible man, avoid.

Man from service very rude. We asked how much cost a diesel. He told us, that he will not make it, because he will not service someone, who is not happy with price. Unbelievable!!

Very expensive for fuel, but it's the only petrol station between Thurso and Tongue.Member of staff has to come out to check how much you have put in/or will pump for you. If they upgraded to a card payment thus would solve that problem .Nice selection of local goods in the shop and the lady working there is lovely!

This little store is brilliant. Since moving to the local area I have visited at least twice a week, they have everything you need. I even asked for some graph paper, the lady owner disappeared for a few minutes and came back with a proper old fashioned exercise book full of graph paper! So helpful and always smiling.
